Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 2: Where Pilotwings is apparently Minecraft

Yeah, can't be a Star Fox stage. If it was a Star Fox stage, the BG would be a lot less blueish. And I don't think it's a KI:U stage because that's a handheld game and it already has its stage in the 3DS version...

Final Destination is probably an unlockable again so maybe that's not it either... (was it an unlockable in Brawl? I forget)

Could be a Mario Galaxy stage? Or maybe the Battlefield stage?

Yeah, good point. I don't think there was any sort of lighting like that in Battlefield, so I guess that's out of the question too.

(I should be sleeping but I'm having really bad sleeping issues... sigh. Least there's this!)

It is. Both in Melee and Brawl.
 
We are most likely witnessing a new stage for the very first time here. Don't get greedy, things could be much worse.

Sakurai sure knows how to tease, I bet he would make one hell of a stripper.

Yeah, I'm pretty confident it's a new stage. A Mario Galaxy one would be really awesome.
 
If it's a Mario Galaxy stage, what exactly can it be? The Observatory?
Will it have some gravity gimmick? Maybe for the first time ever in Smash Bros. it will be a circular stage in which you can run upside down and in which it's impossible to simply fall off the stage.

Sakurai seems to enjoy playing with the fans, like a cat slowly tearing apart a mouse. He could drag this out all week if he wanted.

You mean being able to go from one end to the other no matter the direction you walk on, right? That sounds like a perfect idea -- put in some launches from one planet to another and the special lighting techniques, and there you go! That's how Smash Bros. stages should be made!
 
A rotating Starship Mario would be a cool stage.

But Sakurai is too busy doting on Pit to actually put effort into his game.

Random question out of no where. Who has the rights to the Power Stone franchise? And what happened to that game? Is was sooooo good, had huge potential :(
 
Yeah, obviously being her own character would be ideal, but realistically I think a costume for Peach is really the most we could hope for. Also, as much as I'd like her being in, I'd prefer more franchises without a representative getting one/franchises with fewer characters getting another ahead of another Mario character.

If that's a Mario galaxy stage...which I'm totally ok with btw,, why put Kirby there instead of a Mario rep?

Hallejunah, our first glimpse of the Super Mario Galaxy stage, I guess it deconfirms that 4chan rumor since honeyhive had a blue sky.

This kind of look with vegetables reskinned as Star Bits (no I don't care that plucking them from the ground wouldn't make sense) would be perfect. Shame Smash doesn't go that far with alternate costumes.

She'd really only work as a completely character if they brought back obvious variant clones like Dr. Mario.
