Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | September 2013 | Token Indie Thread

Today i completed (so far) my european Vita retail games collection :) I got Rayman Legends today. I think these are all games that came out in Europe, but please tell me if any games are missing. All these games are still sealed except Killzone, but i have extra copies of those games that i want to play.

Wow, that's epic. You've got double what I do in the US (1 JP & 2 UK) and none of mine are sealed. I have about 6 more I want to get. Whatever Vita's fate (and that of physical media), I think you'll have some serious ebay prospects in the future.

Anyone know how well Disgaea sold on Vita? Hearing someone post that Disgaea 4 is coming to Vita in Japan has me really hoping it comes out over here... Such an entertaining title with literally countless hours of goodness and the OLED pops with the over the top fx. Easy to drop in & out of.

Wrapped to have found out month or so back Toukiden is making it's way over here, that also looks visually fantastic and read that the main story (5 chapters) is 32 hours... Chapter 6 & 7 are post finish for higher leveled characters and has a new game+ option. 300,000 sold in Japan in the first month so it's definitely a potential new franchise to look forward to. Given it's cross platform the first week of release sold 122,000 sales and 60,000 sales were to the PSP. Go psp power! Not sure how many it total sold on either platform, going by media create it doesn't specify from glancing.

btw, Test_account that's a really nice collection :) Dragons Crown will be a nice addition fo' sure.

I'd be very surprised if Disgaea 4 Return isn't localized.

That's beautiful, my friend. I only have 1/3rd the amount you do (about 20). I just can't help but buy some of the retail games digitally whenever there's such an amazing deal. I still don't have as many retail games as you, even counting digital. I probably have 35 retail games total, and then 40-50 PSN titles.

Edit: My cute lil colllection:

(Yes, I have two copies of Resistance. When I bought my second Vita for $100, it came with Resistance, CoD, and Dungeon Hunter. I already had Resistance.)

Wow guys, those are some awesome collections. Congrats.

Now tweet them to Shahid while also asking what's up with the VitaJRPG movement ;)

That collection pic also put my mind at ease that my Epic Mickey 2 is supposed to have a U inside a triangle in it. I didn't know what it meant & stock pics are more in line with every other release, with a number in a box. Why is that the only one?

Played a couple hours of Spelunky on the Vita this morning. After probably 15 deaths on the mines or the jungle due to stupid shit I finally put together a run that was simultaneously my first trip to the city of gold, first trip to hell, and highest score I've ever gotten (including 360 and PC). Wooooo!

I also wrote to them asking about a possible Vita version. This is what they replied:

So looks likely!

They alreay posted this on their Kickstarter page:

The game is planned for a mid 2014 release on Windows, Linux and Mac OSX, currently, with a Steam release in the works! Depending on the stretch goals reached, I would love to get this on PS4 and Vita in the future. Other platforms are also a possibility, but again depends on the resources available at the end of the Kickstarter.

Wow, this is really impressive! Congrats!

Alright, there is no one on VitaGaf kingdom more dedicated and invested in the console. I name you VitaKing.

I think that might be rain elbows, actually. =p http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=67436671&postcount=30

I’m thinking about collecting full set too now that the Vita game prices are low. I have about half now. Are the any other special editions in EU besides those too? Also I can’t seem to find Jonah Lomu Rugby cheap enough anywhere.

It's out of print now, so you may have trouble. I imported it from South Africa for a reasonable (under $30 CDN) price. I can't remember the site, though.

And seeing that picture reminds me that I really need to import Moto GP. That's the only English retail game I haven't picked up. The only thing holding me back: the last three games I imported -- WRC 3, Legends of War: Patton and MUD FIM -- all got released via PSN, like, a week after I got them.

I just... don't understand VitaGAF. On a whim, I connected my Vita charger to my 1st Vita that I have told you folks suffering from a busted battery (it refused to charge, it won't turn on, etc etc), the one that I decided to tuck away in some obscure place collecting dust since I have done all I can without result trying to fix it (where I live, we don't have official Sony Entertainment services)

Lo and behold, all of the sudden the battery responded again, willing to be charged, and all in all my 1st Vita (the one on the above) right now behave like it's never broken at all in the 1st place. I just... don't understand.

I have deactivated my account in it just in case, but all the tests I did to it seemingly suggest that, all of a sudden, my 1st Vita just.. turned ok.

Now I have one extra Vita I don't know what I am gonna use it for, hahaha.

Sick Vita special editions you never knew existed:

Wow..this is awesome. I wonder if I could get the red buttons and sticks to self mod. Like back in the PSP days, there were tons of physical mods on the PSP.

Any idea where I can order the parts to swap 'em out?

I'm jealous.
But I have to ask, whynot just screencap it on your vita instead of taking a pic with your phone?

You will probably get more replay value out of Dragon's Crown. Rayman is really good but it's also kind of easy. I'd go for DC first, then Rayman when you need a change.

I agree. I'm all for people following my lead and waiting for the invasion levels patch on Vita before buying.

Use it for a Japanese account.

Get type-0 yo

Save it as back-up since dat OLED screen might be gone soon. :(

I would sell for trade towards a Vita TV. Or memory cards.

If it were me, I'd sell it and put the money toward a white one. Then you'd own both of the OG systems before the new ugly ones come out.

All very good advices.

Now I am even more confused, hahaha.

Okay, I don't have the privileges to make a thread, and this is the best place I found to ask this, since it's about PS1 Classics:

I can't find Wild Arms 2 or Jumping Flash! 2 anyway on the store. I know for a fact they used to be there, were they removed? Has there been any word on this I missed?

edit: North American store, for clarification.

Hyper Light Drifter is awesome and it's coming from the same makers of Samurai Gunn, a game that is set to be released on Vita. Looks promising and I will pledge as soon as they announce a achievable stretch goal to port the game.

On a side note, there is another promising kickstarter: Blood Alloy.

I asked about the possibility of a Vita port and got this answer from them:

Suppressive Fire Games said:
I've been designing the game's control schemes from day ONE to be able to be played on Vita!

:D

So, yes, and we're currently having conversations with various.. people to that effect. ;)

Sounds good, uh? :-)

I hope it gets funded.

Something similar happened with my PSP not too long ago. It suddenly stopped working, nothing happened when i switch it on. I put it to rest and, like 15 days ago, it worked.

Then I ran and went to the nearest Gamestop, sold my PSP for 35 euros (first model) and bought a 16gb mem card.

You can do this.

I would fund some games, but currently I don't have an easy way to convert dollars to euros. Vita is definitely becoming an indie paradise. If the make it an JRPG paradise i'll be the happiest man in the world
