Forum posting habits that annoy the hell out of you.

A big one for me lately is people prefacing their thread titles with "Public Service Announcement" or "PSA". It adds nothing to the title. Just get to the point.

Let's vent some frustration, GAF.
 
Brackets in thread titles.

I can read I don't need brackets to tell me what the thread is about. And if for some reason I do, you should probably think of a better name for your thread.
 
saying "kind sir" "good sir" or "you're a gentleman and a scholar" or any of that kind of thing in every post/status/email/whatever in response to anyone else.

The shitty puns after the |OT| in official topics. It's like first posts in dumb news threads, but in the topic list.

Hivemind accusations bullshit is also very tiresome because without fail the thread is filled with contradictory opinions (duh).
 
People saying "with that said.." Or "that said.." It drives me insane how much it is used on this forum.

We know you said it, you don't tave to point it out--and it doesn't make you sound any smarter.
 
Using the term "GAF hivemind" or referring to GAF as a single entity to insult or disparage a group of people's opinions in a thread. You're posting here as well so don't think you're an exception.
 
People referring to religions as "mythologies". People referring to male feminists as "white knights". These are GAF things lately I guess.

I can't abide contractions generally, "to be honest" and "for what its worth" are both a) easy to type b) completely vacuous.

If you type "tbh", just do everyone a favor a delete it. I hope you're being honest, and every time I read it I have no choice to make an immature raspberry trying to pronounce it.

While it doesn't annoy me, I have always been curious about Teknopathic's alternate quoting style. Sometimes it throws me off in conversation but it's usually easier to get re-acclaimated with than people who quote people who posted below them.

Thread titles that require you to click through to see what the thread is about by omitting important information.

Shit like "Don't you hate it when..."

Posting "obligatory" images or gifs that stopped being funny 5 years ago.

The unnecessary capitalization of words in the English language has gotten out of hand indeed
 
"am I the only one that [thinks pretty common thought] [remembers cult video game or movie] [self-congratulatory description of thought or action]"
 
When people say, "No. Just, no." or any of its iterations. Or when people say, "omnomnom." when someone posts a picture of some awesome food.

Both are incredibly stupid and should be grounds for banishment.

People on gaf drop fuck to much. There are a ton of examples and it just turns me off when I see it. I pretty much set everybody who does it on my ignore list because I realize that they cannot add anything good to a conversation without having to resort to fuck? Like, really?

"There was absolutely nothing fucking good about that movie. Fucking nothing."

It just makes you look immature and exposes the lack of a good vocabulary.

I came on to say this. I cant stand when people say Gaf cant make up its mind or something like that. Youre interacting with hundreds of different people with different opinions, not Gaf.

People who quote the entire first post and then just say something like,

Yep.

It's fucking annoying, especially if the first post has a ton of pictures.

First thing that comes to mind is people who quote something and then just write 'No.' It's...kind of pitiful. You disagree? Lovely! Please try articulating it.

On a Gaf-specific note, people will 'first post nails it' for anything.
 
The first page of every news story being filled with puns that would make Joel Schumaker cringe. I'm surprised the mods don't get more pissed at it.
