I'm just glad that making puns about people dying is frown upon.
Pretty much the only time I got Angry was, when this was a common occurrence on Gaf. Did a woman was killed by a Monkey? You could be the first post was some Monkeying around kind of pun.
But then, some poster posted that his 2-3 puppy ate a frog and died, some guy said "Sad to know he croaked" and people where suddenly outrage, the guy even got banned. I was so angry and disgusted.

Well I wasn't angry at the Pun, I was angry at the hypocrisy. Not every puppy makes it adulthood, that one of the reasons Dogs have a lot of them. It's so sad that a puppy died, be strong OP, what's that a father died in a trampoline? P-P-PUN CONTEST.
I gotta agree that the joking about death is completely unnecessary.
GAF can be disgustingly disrespectful for a forum that prides itself on being open minded.
I also hate it when people just try and be snarky and post little cool kid quips instead of actually expressing themselves or their opinion. Almost like being in high school again.

I've got another one: when one person posts in a thread way way WAY more than everyone else. I'm following a thread right now that has a guy who's posted three times more than the second most active poster, and about one hundred times the thread average.

I think they're (not sure of their gender) just really excited about the topic. Some of their posts are helpful, but most are just for fun... Which is cool, but in such high volume it starts to feel spammy.
Posting images in a "Post your favourite ..." thread or similar and not taking the five extra seconds to include a name or some other identification detail. It's less of an issue in, say, the What are you listening to? threads as album covers generally have the pertinent info, but the same can't be said for most others.

Another one. This doesn't annoy the hell out of me but for some reason it bugs me. When the thread is titled along the lines of "Post your favorite album of all time," then someone comes in and proceeds to post a list of 15 albums. Or "Top 5 birds of prey" then someone posts 13. Honestly, I don't know why this irks me but for some reason it does.

Came here to say this, and one other. When I was one of those, those lurkers, before my account was approved, I noticed this word being thrown around all over the place. This has been cut back though, quite a bit over the past few months. At least in the threads I frequent. I always wanted to quote a true American Hero, Stan Smith, in response, but was unable due to pending membership approval: "(Imitating police siren)Oh, that’s the Hyperbole Police coming to take you away, and lock you up in Exaggeration-traz. I think I made my point. Eloquent.”
The pissing contests grind my gears some, but most of the time I laugh at a lot of the stuff being said in here. Life is too short to be upset!

On that matter, I really dislike when a let's say a popular opinion in the real world but an unpopular one on Gaf has a thread around it. Then the collective believers/fans of certain opinion start to shit the thread and harass the posters then if one complaints, they call out "persecution complex" and no one does a shit against the trolling.

I will echo the entire "first post wins", it has become a competition on GAF among some to see who can write the wittiest one liner. The problem is unique in that i rarely see it on other forums
Its basically become a way for someone to become semi famous here, in hopes that people will quote you for pages on end and cheer you and how you "ended" the thread
To me, its almost the same as the now banned whogivesashit.gif and thread whining, as there is a lack of respect for the thread and forum, some people are just using it as a way to dick around ie make a mockery out of the thread and TC for their own personal satisfaction.
The only threads that are safe are mod threads, as people usually do not dare pull the same stunt.
