Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 2: Where Pilotwings is apparently Minecraft

I was just thinking about how unfortunate is was that SS Link and Zelda would not be appearing as playable.

It also breaks the tradition of representing the most recent incarnation, which is something I might be ok with if he didn't stick to TP/OoT Link.

Yeah, that is really disappointing. SS Link and Zelda are easily my favorites, although I have absolutely nothing the TP incarnations.

SS Link fights almost entirely differently from previous versions, even with just switching some details.

-Skyward Strike lets him shoot beams from his sword and can use it in several ways
-He doesn't have a boomerang, but the beetle
-Is right-handed
-Despite looking heavier, he's the most agile incarnation yet.
-Bombs and arrows could work differently too.

It's a shame because I wanted Impa to replace Sheik.

the thor and superman immortal thread yesterday and today made me want nintendo to release more comics for their IPs but also establish power level charts for their characters aswell like shulk, samus, starfox, and saki could be like high level people, link can be mid tier but probably have limitless potential because he basically has the power of a god and so on.

Well the new Link/Zelda/Ganondorf could easily be representing the new Zelda game. Rather than represent the most recent that can represent the near future. Otherwise we'd have to wait 6-8 years for WiiU Zelda to get represented in Smash Bros.

I really don't like cutesy Skyward Sword Zelda. Twilight Princess Zelda looks like she could tap dance all over your heart after she rips it out of your chest. That doesn't mean I hated Skyward Sword either, cause I didn't, but that Zelda design is not my favorite. The only way for me to dislike that design anymore is for it to have a "mega" form.

Don't say things like this!!!!!!!!!!

Especially since Link has already been shown, now no matter how they look I will only be able to think of the missed opportunity for the uber hype that would've been a brand new LoZ WiiU game and the subsequent new looking models for Link/Zelda/Ganondorf.

I never got the appeal of SS Zelda, to be honest.

I mean she looked alright but... the other designs suits Smash far better :/

its because she is moe zelda also the zelda that got the farthest with link, hell its basically implied they they fucked and made hyrule into the booming castle community it is today.

SS Zelda has a mega form. This below art doesn't show her wings though.

I expected her eyes to be a lot bigger in her mega form...
