GTA is just too big. Not really any need to fight over the public.
Tbh I see COD/FIFA deals only getting worse as time goes on, Supermarkets have already made themselves leaders in the entertainment market now. It used to be simply a cheap game, in recent times it's changed to the spend x on shopping/game card.
So they run it as a loss leader so they can make more money on groceries from consumers who wouldn't shop at Supermarket X, Better to do it with the biggest game of the year than a smaller game.
Also if I was to hazard a guess even at £25 Supermarkets would be making a profit.

Bought a EU PS3, any deals on PS+? The one inside the package expired on March and I want to use one for October.
Royal Mail are apparently still sending them out and in additional deliveries too but I'm not holding out much hope for getting it today.
You get 90 days free if you buy a year of PS+ directly on PSN. The deal ends very soon.

Supply and Demand: Supermarkets will loss lead if they think temping customers with a good deal leads to a food shop. Majority of people who wanted GTA last night were not going to go on to do their weekly food shop, they just wanted to be in and out asap, I imagine that'll be the case for most people even today.
I saw a picture of the store I work at last night and yeah, even despite the inflated launch price, we still had 200 people waiting for a copy.
I'ld bet money GTA5 would be discounted in stores in the coming months once the hype train has finished running thru town. But if you want a really hyped title, your going to struggle to find day one deals for a while (unless you like your "deal" to be DLC and trinkets)

Oh god my credit card has now been refused. I bought ZOE and Way of the Samurai 4 yesterday but now the store says I have an invalid cc.
Any legit sites where can I buy 50€ PSN online codes cards? I assume UK cards don't work in EU store.
That's what I don't understand in case of the GTA V situation in Germany.
Why sell GTA V for 50EUR, when you could sell it for 60EUR+?
Unless of course preorders weren't as good as expected.

Yeah, I was really hoping for that kind of thing. I think I'll hold on and see what kind of feedback it gets anyway; I've got lots to play so I'm in no rush to buy it ASAP.

People who come in to buy GTA V might buy other stuff (that make them more money than the 10 euro price difference on GTA) during their visit. It's a lure imo.

GTA V is not exactly sold at a loss, but yeah, it's to lure people into buying other stuff, like an extra PS3 controller, a TV or whatever. ;-)
This would make sort of sense, if it was Media Markt only - even then it would be pretty stupid to do so on such a title. But that's the price everywhere in Germany.
Well or maybe Rockstar quietly released another game (in Germany) and uses GTA V as a "loss leader"

Got mine from Flubit today, £31. Came from Simplygames, but had come via Flubit, it had a little note from them inside it. That's never happened before.

I didnt get the little note, but mine came from Simplygames too, it was priced at £46 too. Made quite a saving.
Edit: I did get the little slip. This company is awesome.

Put Diablo 3 on 360 into Flubit. My first time using it. They made a whole song and dance about me getting an "invitation" to use it or something then sent it straight away. Lets hope they find me a good price.

Finally got an answer by Sony PR Germany regarding the Killzone-Bundle with second DS4. Camera and Killzone. It's an official bundle. Release is the 29th of November. So if you grabbed a pre-order, you`re in luck.
