Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 2: Where Pilotwings is apparently Minecraft

Oh god we're just posting.

...then again it's a Smash thread. Stuff like this somehow is part of the thread's life.

And I didn't even add more to the "Ugh" until you bring it up!

You could've just as easily told him that it isn't the thread for it instead of giving him an attitude though. You're obviously annoyed at the idea of anyone wanting to talk about Project M in general.

Anyways, it's not your call what doesn't belong in the thread. People have been a bit off topic a bunch of times, this is honestly no different.

Smash for will encourage a "Project B" scene that will mod the new game and reinstate forgotten brawl relics like tripping and Solid Snake.

Somehow people will argue then about whether it was Solid Snake or Old Snake or...

Other people already told him that though.

But hey like I said, stuff like this is part of the thread's lifetime.

That totally excuses the attitude, then! PERFECT LOGIC

Will it be slower/floatier?! Will Captain Falcon get nerfed to hell along with Gannondorf?!

How can anyone who liked Melee hate on PM? It transforms Brawl into the sequel that Melee deserved, instead of the downgrade we got.

I stopped playing Melee like nine years ago and I can't find enjoyment in it anymore (keep in mind I have zero interest in the competitive scene). I personally prefer Brawl, so I have no reason to play a mod that I feel makes it inferior. My reasons for disliking it have more to do with the choices made behind it (too much aesthetic adherence to Melee/shitty stages and character alterations) rather than its existence.

A new day, time for Ridley.

As a stage hazard.

BWAHAHAHAHA

I like the idea of changing physics and whatnot, I'm always in for fresh changes. But I really did not like some of the level design in Project M. Still annoyed at what they've done to Green Hill Zone :\

Overall it's a pretty interesting mod. I haven't played enough of it yet though.

I should really give Brawl- a shot if I can get it to work in Dolphin lol

When it became more of a fan dicking echo chamber than fixing Brawl.

I guess it sounded dickish, but really, it's just "Ugh". At best it's just disagreement.

How is it fan dicking might I ask? They've built an engine just so they could bring back old Melee characters that were dropped, they've restored all the physics and nostalgic movesets of Melee veterans while balancing the entire roster with newer twists.

Remember the goal of P:M is to make EVERY character tournament viable, something HAL & the SSB Teams failed to so somewhat because of "Spacies" and P:M has certainly succeeded with such a goal. which is quite an admirable one, seeing as the only way a 10 year old game and/or a mod to fix Brawl into being like a 10 year old game will ever get any attention is WITH the tournament scene that the Devs so clearly ignored.

I dont think they built an entire engine, they just changed some things, more than most mods but they didnt "make their own engine"

You pair must be taking turns in the role considering how you got on me joking about fan art the other day.
I apologize just for the attitude there, I just often get paranoid at certain kinds of posts. It's not really encouraged though since it typically leads to unwanted discussions like that one response you've gotten.

(I'm not taking back what I've said to the guy who brought up Rule34 though. Because seriously...)

man why you always gotta be hating on snake

*Looks at avatar* Was new MGSV promo art released at TGS?

I instantly miss the Cone Zone.

Seriously, why is everyone assuming that just because there was no announcement yesterday there won't be a Direct?

Are you new to Direct? They announce them really last minute.

Also why do people always say Ridley is the number two pick after Samus? Surely number two is the Metroid, they're name is the title of the game! Just stick one on the body of a scientist and it's a fighter and in no way a rip off of a head-crab zombie.

They simply need to fix Brawl in its physics and maybe move priorities, which was their original goal, but then it became more of a fan-pandering movement that defeats the purpose of simply balancing shit.

And we see our first assist trophy,
Little Mac.
weird a playable character would also show up as an assist isn't it

That wasn't the point of Project M at all. It's literally about recreating Melee in Brawl's engine, with Brawl-newcomers redone to better match how they'd hypothetically work in Melee for better (Wario) or worse (Pit).

There's a million different balance mods that keep Brawl feeling like 'Brawl' and don't touch how movesets work beyond stats out there if that's your main complaint.
