double standards drive me crazy.

Also that recent "Should kids play GTAV" thread with "I played GTA when I was young but now I know better no kids should be ever allowed to play videojames" posts

Man.. I barely going on gaming side now but I just hopped into that not hyped for GTA5 thread, read a very decent op that was not trying to click bait or anything, and then saw a ton of "dont care you dont care" and "wow youre so cool for not liking a popular game"..gah..fuck..if I was a mod I'd nuke everyone in that thread. Next time someone makes a "I'm so excited for xxx game" thread I'm just gonna post "I don't care that you care" and "ok" just to see what happens.

I'll list those types of threads as a pet-peeve.

Yeah, GTAV already had several evoted threads in the first page alone, it didn't need another so we could hear that this one poster "just wasn't feeling it". People attribute the response to that thread to AGGRESSIVE GTAV HIVEMIND but in reality those Livejournal-style threads are never popular. There's nothing to discuss. Some guy thinks his opinion is so important that he posts a new thread when a post in the OT would have done just fine.

I'm not a fan of people taking a single copy/paste and adding a word or two after it and BAM, new thread. Why not wait for someone to put some actual thought into it

People who when posting reaction images to a post or thread, use ONLY images of people of their own race. MTHanded does this constantly and it bugs the shit out of me for some reason.

Haha. Thread winner here. That's an insane gripe. I just put people who annoy me on ignore.

People who whine about bugs in bug threads get no sympathy from me. None.

You sound stable

I'm not saying I hate it, but when a pop-gaf/queen-gaf person pulls out their schtick in a completely unrelated thread, it's hilariously jarring.

I've never heard that complaint before. I'm sure there are plenty of white posters who use nothing but white reaction gifs.

I don't think I could find reaction gifs of my own race. :/

Though most of mine are white people, since ya know, that's most media. I do have a few awesome ones that aren't though!

One giant pet peeve of mine is posts that assume that all posters on GAF are part of a hive mind .

I will have my own opinion on matters that are discussed and even if one opinion gets allot of support on the forum doesn't mean that i should mindlessly agree with it . in fact i may strongly disagree .

"dat"
"tho"

I hate toddler speak in general. With a passion.

I don't think it's toddler-speak so much as it is people basically playing slanguage dress-up.

It's like, in the mid-90s, when suburban kids were buying Karl Kani & Cross Colours, and they knew all the words to NWA & Too $hort. It was FUN to wear a Malcolm X hat and quote "Dope Man" at your friends while playing Super Nintendo.

So long as you never had to leave your bedroom. :)

It doesn't matter what race they are, it's annoying. To me at least. If a white poster only uses white reaction images, he/she needs to diversify and use allllllll colors of the racial rainbow.

GET OFF MY LAWN

a) Why?
b) Do you memorize everyone's race or something?

"It's 2013 blah blah random bullshit that has nothing to do with what year it is"

I saw this again today and it made me want to hurt someone.

This is the one posting habit I've seen that legitimately makes me rage. It's like the text equivalent of nails on a chalk board to me.

"Am I the only one..."/"People are gonna hate me for this but..."/"Yeah I went there/I said it"

If you feel the need to emphasize that your opinion is in the minority or controversial as if that makes you special then I'd rather not waste my time with you. Shows you're more interested in stirring shit than anything else.

I got another one. People who ask for things to be banned. I've seen people say in passing, "The word _____ should be banned." Really? That's how you deal with things you don't like, you ban them? Just use your fucking ignore list, asshole. Sheesh. PEACE.

Fake signatures in EVERY fucking post, especially in the same thread. If you are obsessively driven to type that up in an OP/your first post in a thread, sure, whatever, but every damn post!?

Come on dudes, you're killing me.

Writing each post like it's a letter is also annoying as shit.

Love,

But it's like their totally neat and unique way to differentiate themselves on a forum. Trying so hard to have an identity.

FART.

Know-it-all dochebags.

Don't treat a forum like it's your twitter feed

Declarative questionable if not outright moronic statements. If it's anything in my realm of knowledge I can't help but reply to it with reality. Then a response to the response where they maybe take a half step back but end it "but ...". So they never really backed down. I am then looking to relay a 2nd helping of facts.

All of this is a side-bar discussion when it should be on the main.

OPs that take about a minute to scroll through are really weird. I know a lot of work goes into it, I can appreciate that. But there's this super-bloated quality and a one-upsmanship to it. It's cool to have the equivalent of the press kit on gaf I guess, but what's the point of it in the end? Just give concise info that people need to access and leave it there.
