Sounds like he game shared with the Oman account, got a console and account ban on that one, and his other US account remains in tact.
This is a sticky situation. He could get his stuff if he got another Xbox, but barring that is SOL. Not sure how to feel.

Nintendo has no account system. Games are tied to hardware.
Well, the main reason I was defending the OP was being he couldn't access his legitimately purchased digital games anymore. If his U.S. account remains unbanned, then I don't really see a problem.

Because Nintendo haven't figured out what an account is. You can't redownload your 3DS or Wii U games on any console other than the ones they're bought on.

Since i got over 50 LEGALLY BOUGHT GAMES ON XBOX LIVE MARKETPLACE OVER 2-3 YEARS, and over 10 original retail games in collection!!!!
What about those people who are STILL playing games on flashed console just burning discs and not supporting MS and devs, like for AGES!!!

The question was if was for the Oman thing, which nobody uses transfer licences to actually use the exploit, when people uses this option to actually share with others the content of one account, both console and gamertags on that console are banned, know that is the most common reason why people get banned today, in the oman thread I remember reading someone else that got banned for also transfer licences, and the ban was actually same message in account, marketplace theft.

Also keep in mind you need a new account to enter xbox.com and in the forums ask qhy your console is banned, not any other options they let you for a console/account ban, they actually will never answer for that is even on xbox.com/consoleban that information.

you downloaded the game with that oman account and played it with your main account.
thats why only those two got locked.
this has nothing to do with oman.
the folks at x360achievements are explicitly adivising that you dont share accounts to download games from oman or elsewhere.

I havent shared any of my game with any of my friend, not my account. I have never shared an account. I used Oman exploit (ONE ACCOUNT) on my console, but never gave access to it anyone, nor for my primary account with shitload of stuff on it.
Microsoft bans in waves. It's likely just a bunch of people got caught in the same wave as you for cheating, game sharing or other infractions. That's why the posts have come all at once. The fact that no one else is reporting a ban for the Oman thing heavily points to something else being the reason you got the axe.

Yeah. If I stole something, come at me and accuse me. creating their own pocket of Draconian bullshit and then cowardly abusing that power by naming themselves judge, jury and executioner is possibly the top reason i'll never buy another ms product again. Uh, what? Did you look at the date and threads? Most of those bans are for random shit that's against the TOS, and the first two pages go back to September 18th.
If this isn't a joke, read through the account banning threads. Bans range from piracy, console tampering, avatar tampering.

Changing your region to get stuff for free, that you should not be able to get for free in your actual region seems shady as fuck to me. When I saw the Oman thread I was blown away that it was even allowed on GAF.
