I'm going with this, The Catalyst Trailer was all CGI.
although this is project was in development for a long time, it's kinda weird that the out of the blue Remake is more along and due for release next year whilst theirs is just a CG trailer....
And as I said, she doesn't look old, just airbrushed.
The trailer doesn't even have good lipsync either unless that was just the stream.
Also the timeline is fucked up, if the Survivor Trilogy is first then Legend/Atlantis and this is set year's after.
Why did Lara dig up her clothes form the Survivor Trilogy (10+) in Catalyst

For me it's the way they did her body proportions. She doesn't have the female hourglass shape. Her hips are flat and narrow which just looks super weird to me. Look, I live in an area with a high trans population so... yeah you kinda learn what to look for unless you're the kinda guy who likes having the surprise dong slap you in the face when you're pulling off her panties with your teeth.

If that's really the game version then I'd say they did a great job.It's fine. I think people's issue is that goofy hero lighting in OP's photo.

Liked everything I saw except her appearance, but of course if your main point of reference is pixelated 90s art, there's some room for differences here. I thought Jolie was the closest we've ever gotten to the original vision.

This is still one of my favorite low polygon models from console generation 5. Especially the extra chunky Sega Saturn model. The 10th Anniversary Tomg Raider remake model looked pretty good for the time too. I also liked the much more recent remaster model as well.Oh no guys, she's ruined! Why can't she still look hot like her first game?!!
But the original is iconic in the same way that the Super Mario Bros. 1 sprites on the NES are iconic. Or Sonic's original sprite.

When you compare her to some of the OG promotional renders, I thing she fits the bill rather well. Plus I think Jolie really captured a lot of the personality on classic Lara. Going with darker clothes was really more of a trend that Hollywood movies from the time were going for. Even went far enough to put herself in better physical shape. Too bad the second movie was trash.
I remember the speculation from various gaming magazines back in the day over who should play Lara Croft in the first movie. The go-to choice was always Pamela Anderson.
