Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 2: Where Pilotwings is apparently Minecraft

OT, but those Hamtaro games were surprisingly good. I played them for a cousin and they're decent adventure games.

It's understandably hard to convince people about that, but they're indeed very good games. There are four in the series (and a spin-off), and I'll just say that not only was it AlphaDream (Mario & Luigi developers) that made part 4, but Miyamoto himself has been involved with the series.

Because Batman didn't originate from a game, he's a comic book character. Just because he's had a couple of games on the SNES doesn't make a him worthy of a character, its not like his games helped bring out the system either.

I'm fairly certain there's a Sakurai quote out there basically saying this part is a complete deal-breaker.

Well great, yea he might be a great fit for smash bros. The whole playstation battle royal crew might be a great fit for smash bros. Theres no way in hell they're getting in though. Then the history of batman on games and all that it really dont add up at all. We dont even got characters like pirahna plant i the game. Know how many games thats been in?

Why would the Playstation Battle Royal crew make a good fit for Smash? Most of them are owned by Sony and have never appeared on Nintendo platforms. Even most of the third party characters have never appeared on a Nintendo platform. The third party character I'm suggesting has appeared on Nintendo platforms many times.

I never though about the Pirahna Plant being in Smash before though, it would make a pretty good assist trophy.

When I was younger I accidently deleted my save of one of the GBA Hamtaro games while at a restaurant and started bawling like a baby.

Good times.

Also holy shit there's like 300 episodes of Hamtaro not counting movies and stuff

I can't say I know much about Hamtaro other then as a Godzilla fan I know it's a cartoon Hamster who's movies were on a double bill with some of the Millennium Godzilla films. I never knew Nintendo made games about it.

Becaus they already have perfect movesets to fit in with smash.

This is cool by the way. Old characters are getting improvements. This is news, but there is no need to turn on the bat signal for it.

I guess I don't understand how posting suggestions for characters who could never possibly appear in Smash undermines any of my points.

If Sakuari does have a rule that only characters created as videogame characters can be in Smash that's fair enough, it is his game (and who's to say his rules can't change. He did say at one point in a Nintendo Power interview that there were no good characters for Smash in Animal Crossing, and he did change his mind about tripping). It doesn't mean you have to agree with every decision, I still think Batman would be a great addition to the Smash roster and I haven't seen a single argument in this thread tonight that would suggest otherwise, mostly just snide remarks with no real substance behind them.

Duck Hunt Dog is the character choice of the elite.

Hopefully they also give him the Poltergust so he can stand out as his own character. I generally dislike clones in fighting games.
