Going to try the Manor again today so I can get the story moving forward . Hopefully the tank won't drop mid run this time.
Also got my pugilist to level 11, so close to getting a bard! My archer is about to hit level 32.
Question about bard. Does my archer transform into that, or will I have 3 classes? Archer, pugilist and bard?

There is a "Soul" slot on your character, you equip that crystal you'll get and your Archer turns into a Bard. Levels and stat allocations are tied to both so your BRD will be the same level as your Archer and visa versa. There's not a real reason to be an Archer after BRD unlocks though since they get a hefty boost in stats and some powerful job specific skills.
PUG is a sub for it and usually subs have some important skills you want to crossclass but its otherwise unrelated.

Also, anyway to force AA into this game? The FXAA is starting to hurt my eyes, specially in Gridania. Don't know if my PC can handle it, but I'd like to try. I have an ATI card, and Radeon Pro or ATI tray tools and even through my CCC panel; don't do anything, even with all those settings off in-game. Anything else I could try? I'm already playing in 1080p.
I only have a ATI 5770 HD.

Thanks to a ton of really great GAF members, Titan HM went down last night, not only for me, but for a lot of people. A big thanks to all those that came out and helped with the event last night and thanks to the FC admins that put it together.
Now to get 300 more tomes to grab my AF+1 body piece and see about getting into a BC group for some end game runs.

Fights like that are what makes playing a healing class worth it and incredibly fun imo.

I hope they add a same server only option to duty finder, because there are way too many people who are extremely unpleasant without consequence.
Certain dungeons and boss fights are just better with your FC and not pugs since you can play things a bit looser if you've done it for the millionth time (hello CM), no rage quits if you're new to a dungeon or mess up, and you will run with more quality players instead of the crapshoot that DF can be.
Pugs aren't all that bad though and I've had fun with some runs in AK and CM. Even got to meet George Washington and Mark Walberg in the same group once. That was magical.

Are you super rich? It seems like at the end of last week players on non-legacy servers with over 8 million gil were being banned pre-emptively and then having their transaction history combed over to make sure they didn't buy gil. Pretty heavy handed and stupid approach if you ask me. What happened to innocent before proven guilty?

I hope I'm not stuck with this armor too long... I like to see my face. Too bad the /visor command doesn't work on it. Considering every tank is stuck with it at one point, they should have allowed /visor command to show your face.

I too hate that in a game with a vanity "DO NOT SHOW HELMET" option, this fucking armour prevails.
I too am on a 5770 and it runs this game fine mostly on all high at 30fps. Hopefully some Direct X 11 update doesnt fuck me

I have a level 15 non-legacy character. With about 2k gil to her name....
When I logged into my account center i did notice the name on the character list changed to some random name. I'm fairly certain I've been hacked by a third party. I'm now going to go through my entire pc and clean it out.
I just wish I knew which AV to use. Every AV I've used in the past has been completely hopeless.

AF+1 is the best armor set for Warrior/Paladin, but I agree it looks hideous and I never liked it when I was stuck using it during the beta. I'll roll a tank eventually, but I dread ever having to put that armor on.
Do what you have to and get a security token for your account on top of that. Will most likely help avoid this type of issue in the future. Same goes for different passwords for all of your online accounts.

Antivirus. I'm guessing there's a keylogger or something on my PC. Not sure how that happened though, I'm usually fairly careful.
Given the fact that I'm not certain my PC is infected (I will check in a bit though), and their admission that there has been a number of these cases. I'm wondering if someone breached their servers and stole their logins or something.
From the LIVECHAT I had with an SE rep earlier;
I'm a fan of NOD32. You have to pay for a copy but its a pretty light weight antivirus.
Depending on how you might have come down with a keylogger or trojan, antivirus might not cover all your bases. If you use Firefox as your browser I highly suggest getting the NoScript addon as it really shuts down a lot of the tricky javascript and other web-based avenues to getting nasty software onto your PC.

Is that the WAR one? I saw the PLD one and thought it looked pretty good imho. Haven't seen the WAR one though and my point still stands that the AF+! is the best armor in the game, though you can also get equivalent Allagan pieces at ilvl 90 from BC, though with some different stats.

So I hit 41 this weekend with my Warrior. This means Stone Vigil opened up to me. First thing I noticed was the mobs in that place were just destroying me. I went through the first time with a downscaled to 43 healer who could barely keep me up. Second time I had a 41 healer who was just incapable of keeping me alive. I've pretty much leveled by instance tanking since I hit level 15, and I've been golden prior to this.
All I could think is 40 is when Paladins start taking 20% less damage so the game is balanced around that? Any warriors got any tips to not be super squishy? Maybe there are some essential cross class defensive cooldowns that will make me not blow up on every pull?

Yea, not being able to show your face kind of suck, I wish they'd update that.
I thought the armor looks kind of cool, if you remove the dye.

If I do Ifrit hard mode before the relic quest will I still have to do it again for the quest or will it already count as long as I'm doing it with the job I'm getting it for.

Just as last boss was defeated, rather than leaving the party and clicking the zone out method, they just quit DF, cause I got leader and got a prompt saying a healer has been found to fill your ranks
Twice I saw mobs just standing still in the middle of an area, even though we had killed the patrolling crew, one just stood there like Jesus Bynum (Dullahan)

What I ended up doing when those sets were too relevant to skip was having a standard adventurer set to hot-bar, and then a SRS BUSINESS, GOODBYE FACE set to another icon to switch between. They should put a Sentai Transformation emote in there to macro between class changes for added effect
You have to redo it, but don't let that stop you because you're gonna be fighting him many times for your weapon unless you get super lucky.
Mobs just hit harder. You shouldn't notice any difference between PLD and WARs at that point. The disparity between the two classes comes later on at hard content. Try not to waste your wrath stacks unless you're low on health, especially since you don't have access to Infuriate yet.
We don't really have any def cds to reduce damage. The best advice I could give you is to cc mobs in large groups, and make sure your gear is up to date. The only useful cross class abilities are...

You can mix and match whichever five you feel is most appropriate. Haymaker might be useful, but I found most bosses to be immune to it.
Man I'm sick of the Titan HM fight
You can know the fight 100% perfectly and dodge everything, meaningless unless the entire rest of the party knows it just as well and the healers know it that well and can time the precast heals correctly.

You will have to do Ifrit HM and/or garuda HM many many times to farm your weapon drop from them in order to beat Titan.
I wouldn't hold off on doing them just because of the relic quest. It's not like either one of those battles is tough; it's Titan that you have to worry about.
Nah. I have never played with members of GAF. I haven't been in a FC yet. When I wrote that post it was right after I beat Garuda.
Glad I'm not alone. I've actually played a lot of MMOs at endgame, I just think it's starting wear me thin when it comes to that kind of stuff.

Yeah, joining an FC and playing with people who care just a little bit more than random folks goes a long way.
I'm actually not interested in end-game. I find more enjoyment playing this game casually. I'm still kind of burned from going all out in FF11 a few months ago.
Anyways, the social aspect is not an issue I have, and I do play with a friend.

The current world is quite small and pretty densely packed already, they will have to expand to new zones eventually.
