here are my realistic predictions (i've done really good on these in the past):

wii u:
-account system rolled out immediately after direct. connects to club nintendo account.
-nintendo power network is a subscription service that gets you free games, early access to demos, and nintendo secret directs similar to how gaf gold users can ************* and ********* in the *************** forum, but normal users will only see asterisks.
-bayonetta 1 announced for wii u, and will be a free download to anyone who buys bayonetta 2 from the eshop.
-sonic and mario platformer announced as the third sonic game for wii u
-persona 5 wii u exclusive. more details from atlus on november 24

3ds:
-miiverse support, and integration with the new account system
-super mario galaxy 3d announced for 3ds
-majora's mask 3d announced for 3ds
-persona 4 the platinum announced for 3ds: includes everything from golden and extra stuff

eshop:
-bill trinen talks about mother 3 coming to the eshop... right now. as he talks, the camera slowly zooms in on his face until all you can see are his eyes

Usually I'm the optimist one... but yeah... this is maybe too much. :/

[EDIT]
That will teach me to never stop reading before the last sentence. LMAO XD

I know your joking

Miiverse login site started redirecting from miiverse.nintendo.net to id.nintendo.net today. People started assuming this meant that they were laying the groundwork for a unified ID system.

Huh. I guess that's something.

There's that and also that they've acknowledge our concerns for one. One poster above elaborated that they were having some trouble figuring things out. We're all sure it's coming, because it seems like a no-brainer, but we're just not sure when. People always bring up the account system whenever there's a Direct.

Even if they've acknowledged our concerns, I wouldn't expect them to actually do something about it based on just that. I mean, this is Nintendo we're talking about, they're not well known for listening to their fans (or anyone for that matter).
Just look at the region locking thing.

As a regular user of web Miiverse, I've had it redirect to id.nintendo.net once or twice throughout the last week or so. Seems to be more prominent now.

I'm going for some new sports besides the originals in Wii Sports Club. Competitive online Tennis and Bowling will be a blast, but I want some Archery and Three Point Contests too.

Ugh. No.

Keep it on a Nintendo Direct, please.

Does this stem from your distaste for the VGAs, which are admittedly wretched, or do you think it would be an ineffective way to announce the game? I think it's a good way to get a lot of eyeballs from people in the much coveted dew-slamming demographic on the game and by extension the Wii U.

Just realised this may be why I had to log in once again (even though I checked the box to stay logged in at all times) today, and several times in the past few days.

Nintendo. Announce something at the VGAs. Or even show something? BAHAHAHAHA

The closest we've ever gotten to a Nintendo presence during the VGAs was that Zelda tribute.

And that's a damn good thing. The VGA are a farce, the epitome of mediocrity and vulgarity.

I want Geist 2 (in collaboration with n-Space), Gotcha Force 2 (in collaboration with Capcom) and Lost Kingdoms 3 (in collaboration with FROM Software), all for Wii U.

Holy shit, these hints, the extended maintenance, the odd Direct, the redirecting websites...

Miiverse 3DS and unified accounts are finally upon us...

mother of god

Good to see that GAF is setting istelf up for disappointments again.

Seriously, we go through this with EVERY Direct. And afterwards people will be sad because "Nintendo didn't deliver"

4PM (GMT+2) / 3PM (UK Time).

Actually, Nintendo hasn't officially announced it, it's just NoA who has sent some PR mail to the press (kinda surprising, I mean a PR mail at 1AM on a Monday morning? I suspect that mail wasn't supposed to be sent just yet).

The official announcement will come in exactly 2 hours!

I'm not sure whether this has been brought up already, btw I have just received an email from Nintendo of Europe, ND officially confirmed, same hour as NA.

We're now getting to the point to where it is going to be really hard for any other competitors to respond to anything Nintendo has planned for the Holidays. They've said they had other games to be released this Holiday that they didn't want to talk about yet. Was that just Wii Sports Club? That would hardly make sense. If they did have any ambitious hardware/software ideas to meet those seemingly unrealistic numbers, this is probably the earliest opportunity for them to show it.

I'm excited. This eShop update has me hyped up more than anything else. Really want that Miiverse for 3DS. Also can't wait to see more Sonic Lost World.

These are mostly people who don't give a fuck about Nintendo in the first place

Those small NDs were shit, but the big ones always showed new stuff. And the E3 Direct would have been much better if it wasn't on motherfucking Ustream

With PR it's good to make (positive) small things sound big.

Either way Nintendo has a plenty good holiday lineup as it is. Announcing anything else now isn't going to help them. Making sure 2014 (and beyond) has a steady release schedule should be more important than loading this holiday season further.
