New Nintendo Direct Tomorrow [WiiU/3DS, games releasing later this year]

Someone smells a Zelda U reveal? Haha, get your nose checked.


If there is nothing about 3ds Miiverse I'm going to drop my hype for it coming anytime soon.
 
Will there be any Bayonetta 2 news *question mark* (my question mark key is broken)

I can't remember if it has been delayed to 2014 or not.
 
It would not surprise me if Zelda U doesn't get revealed until E3 2015. I'm sure Aonuma will talk about the project more next year but I wouldn't count on a trailer. I'd be surprised if the game launched fall 2015 anyway. We'll probably get the true successor to Mario Galaxy before we get Zelda. I hope anyway. Zelda still needs some serious time off so that it doesn't disappoint. I was more unhappy with Skyward Sword than I ever was with the original Wind Waker.

I even hope a new 3D Metroid happens before the next Zelda.

The only problem with Zelda coming out in 2016 is that Wii U will be on its last legs (as if it already isn't dead enough now) unless the big N can turn things around. Dramatically.

Hope away, but Galaxy's Producer and Director are busy at work on 3D World.

Well, technically they were Director and Level Design Director on Galaxy, but they've had the Producer/Director roles since Galaxy 2.

If the Wii U keeps up it's current "pace" I don't think they will have much choice.

Nintendo basically threw all of it's bombs to "save" the 3ds except Pokemon (I get the feeling that Gamefreak does what they want so yeah) with Marios , Mario Karts, and such. They seem like they are trying to same with the Wii U with 3 of the big Mario bombs coming in the system's first year almost. A new Zelda can't be too far behind.

In theory that is the good part of Panic Mode Nintendo, they actually put their games on the table...the issue is that they are rushed (Sunshine and WW).

I am actually wondering what they have in store for the 3DS actually. You figure they pretty much checked all of the boxes in terms of "this needs to come out for every system we release at least once"...because as much has people harp on Nintendo rehashes, they typically only release one game from a franchise per console (with some exceptions).

basically I want my Advance Wars 3ds (with the old cast/style..the grim dark of the last one wasn't my thing)...like now.

of course this is for future directs...as this one will be what we know is coming.

The sad this is that I don't even doubt this would happen. As much as I love this company, they'll spend an obscene amount of time talking about a random feature like that, and then whiz past the more interesting topics. It's truly mind boggling.
 
Jokes on you losers, I don't even get to watch the Direct until maybe the afternoon! I won't have to sit through the disappointment.

Can't freak out when Star Fox X Battle Clash is announced either..

Zelda U is being revealed in 2014, especially with Miyamoto having said they could have shown it but chose not to. They might have a soft date internally of trying to release it by holiday 2014, but Nintendo isn't shy of delaying titles. However, I highly doubt they'd have the Zelda team developing a game for release in 2016 for a system that desperately needs great games to continue hitting.

It's the same reason why we aren't getting what people don't think is a real 3D Mario. They aren't going to have a team working for 3 years on a title when the system needs games right now.
 
I'd imagine its not gonna be anything new of it's all about games releasing this year. Makes no sense to announce something so late and not give it time to market.

I so very much doubt Zelda will release holiday 2014, that's incredibly too good to be true. At best there might be a Nintendo Direct sometime next year but there's no way it'll release before Q4 2015. They just only released Wind Waker HD. I don't see how Zelda U is only a year away from launch. We'll see though.
 
I'm of the opinion they'll show off Zelda U next year, but it won't actually come out until 2015. I really think Smash U is a ways off and that's gonna be one of their big holiday games, alongside "Unannounced Game U" and "Secret Miyamoto casual IP"
 
I wanna keep my expectations in check so I'll be happy with new Trailers of already announced games and the first trailer for SMT X FE

Why did Nintendo start work on all their important, system-selling games AFTER the Wii U was released
 
hopefully we'll get another Dual Destinies trailer. I imagine we'll get something involving Pokemon and Zelda, we'll probably get some update on how WWHD is selling too.

I see this as a way for them to announce the Miiverse 3DS update though

honestly, I don't mind it being digital only. I'm just happy they're releasing it here, especially after the whole Investigations 2 debacle. I'll probably import a jap copy down the line so i can have the cartridge/box for it, but eh

Also i know this is supposed to be for 2013 games but I would really like an english dubbed version of the Ace Attorney vs Professor Layton trailers, that would make me extremely happy
 
Keeping a reasonable level of hype for this but excited nonetheless. My 3DS has needed some love lately, and my interest in a Wii U has picked up since I have some friends interested in getting together for good old local multiplayer games. Looks like I'll just be able to make this Direct's time.
