Noticed this in the trailer, and something tells me this is a new special move replacing one of his numerous spin moves. He makes movements like this in the new games doesn't he? It would be nice if this dodge maneuver is implemented into his move-set to make him a bit less boring to play as.

I thought it was a quick air dodge, either way it's got a nice animation.

My love-hate relationship with the graphics continue. Sonic just looks sooooo derpy here.
Hope they patch up things up before release.

I KNEW Sonic would be in this. With all the Nintendo promotions for Sonic Lost World we've been seeing it would be insane for him NOT to be in it.

For those who missed it, it's Windy Hill Zone from Sonic Lost World. His design shows traces of his appearance in that game as well.

Now that Sonic is a recurring mainstay, it wouldn't surprise me if we got another Sonic series rep. If we do, I hope we get Amy. More females are needed. Though having another pink female might get a bit crazy.

I know there's got to be lots of little changes, but I really wish his moveset looked fresher, and not so much like a straight Brawl port. This game seems to be doing creative things with the new characters, but some of the existing ones need more of a rethink. (Yes, the game has a while to go, I know.)

The graphics are fine.
His mouth is textured instead of being part of the character model itself. It might change.. at least I hope. I'd also like to reference back to when that SEGA rep was asked about Sonic returning in Smash. Lol PR people. Just doing their job I suppose.
Looks pretty decent on 3DS, shame there's no video or extra shots too.
I'm guessing the Wii U game is far ahead in development. (I knew it was, I just didn't know how far)

No, he looks more classic. That complete modern Sonic looks like shit. A disgrace to old skool fans.
Nope, just the one, unfortunately. I want to see more of this game in motion, other than one screenshot of each character.
I mean, we've only seen WFT/Villager in one single shot and that's about it since August.
But hey, the Wii U game's the priority anyway..

I think they did that because Sonic's mouth works better as "stylized" where it's always on the side of his face, and not the weird gaping mouth he had in the early 3D games.

Sonic adventure Sonic had his teeth showing in all the art. The smile was smaller and more angular if it was closed. I know what Im talking about, I literally was teaching people how to draw Sonic in second grade.
