Really? If the regional dex consists of a lot of older pokemon and there's only 70 new ones, that method won't tell us much. They'd be mixed in with the larger group.

There are claims going around of a male combee evolution. He is most likely testing if it is true or not.

Doesn't the pokedex leaks already confirm that the rumor was false since that "leaker" said he figured out the number of new pokemon based on the legendary's number. Then, again that "leaker" may have had national pokedex

No, I mean that Hawlucha is likely to be proven genuine quite soon as it is 97 in the 'Dex and he's recently posted images of Pancham and Skiddo which were 91 and 89 respectively. Sorry for the confusion!

Personally, I don't believe that rumor about 70 pokemon. It didn't come from any credible source, but we're just entertaining the possibility.

Going by the pictures we have I'm guessing the pokedex is going to reach around normal region dex numbers in order to make up most if not all of the pokemon from every generation. I could be wrong but meh lol
