I'm starting to have the feeling most of the new Pokémon have already been revealed and that GF will count the Mega Evolutions to pad up the numbers. They had to make almost 800 different 3D models with animations, after all.

Feel free to scratch out Midievos but with such an expansive roster of pre-existing pokemon... Im inclined to think Gamefreak chose to expand upon them rather than add new species to the bestiary.
