I went to sleep to find out that some of the leakers went to bed at a normal time? Don't they know that they've entered an unwritten agreement to finish the game in a single sitting and to take pictures as they do it?

All I wanted was stage 3 starters.

The nerve.

It was daytime in my world, baby. Their actions are inexcusable.

Wait so kinda like with the Elite four? Just go to whateve rGym you want? How do they scale that.

Just like they did with Lt. Surge, Erika, Koga and Sabrina, don't. Shit, you could do Blaine after you've beaten Koga before beating the others. Not 100% sure if you can challenge Giovanni after Silph Co.

It seems they dropped pokemon saying their name? A nice touch, but weird considering pikachu getting the anime cry in game.

Also, seems like Red might catch them all

Need to see the final evolutions before I can choose a starter. :(

Same here.

I have no idea, since I don't live in NA. It is 06:40 AM in South America right now.

Oh well, at least Pokémon The Origins will air in a few minutes to keep me occupied.

Edit:

Thank you

seems legit

That Charizard is awesome. But how in hell can I have 3 fire starters in my team... :'( That's gonna be hard to pick starters

I'm tempted to pick Froakie to go with my Bulbasaur and Torchic just so it's balanced! And I don't even like Froakie! Crazy.

And hah at Red trying to catch the trainer's Poke, you know that's like the first thing you tried in R&B.

Maybe this isn't the right thread for this question, but whatever.

I haven't played a Pokemon game since Red/Blue/Yellow, and I'm kinda tempted to pick X or Y up to breathe some new life into my 3ds. The biggest thing holding me back is the fear that there is over a decade of gameplay mechanics which I'll have to catch up on. Not to mention that there seems to be 9012354 different Pokemon now.

Basically, the game seems too big for me to jump into. Is that the case? Can a Pokemon virgin (or nearly one, in my case) pick it up and start playing?

Yes, it should be fine. It's not nearly as complicated as you think, unless you really want to get deep into the competitive scene.

Pokemon is always a low barrier to entry series. And it seems X/Y are great games to start playing Pokemon again.

The more new means more fun! I think you will find many things improved, like the boxes, bag and move learning.

Yeah totally. The games are way more expansive, but it's in a good way, not a confusing one. Keep in mind these are made for children to easily get into. There has been since Gold and Silver "EVs" and "IVs", complex methods of getting great stats, but it's completely optional and is almost never mentioned in game.

You can still get a starter, match up types, and evolve your Pokemon whilst catching others and defeating Gym leaders. In that respect, nothing's changed.
