Blastoise is so weird. If it were a new Pokemon, you'd think the last form would be a giant turtle with an elaborate tail and elaborate ears and then suddenly, cannon tortoise out of nowhere!
Squirtle to Wartortle gains elaborate ears and a more detailed tail, you'd think Blastoise would carry on that growth, but nope. Bulbsaur and Charmander carry on details they gain as they evolve, but Squirtle just seems to be entirely random at it's final stage.

Historically, there are jack and shit for Fire Pokemon in the games outside of the starter. You can't go outside without tripping on Grass mons (and at least one will be halfway ok), and Water isn't that far behind.
I think it was BW or maybe BW2 that changed it up? Where there was Magmar really early in the game and you didn't get a good Water Pokemon until forever and a day?
Besides, with a special Torchic effectively coming with the game, along with the choice of a Charizard in game... plenty of reason to not pick the Fire Starter this time.
Do we know, outside of the Legendary, Mega Mewtwo X/Y, and the aromatherapy / cotton candy mons, of what's version exclusive yet? I'm leaning towards X because the various people I play with are aiming for Y, but would like to make a... at least somewhat informed decision.
Also: Heh, Mega Charizard apparently has an X and a Y mode too. I wonder if Blastoise and Venusaur are going to have X and Ys as well. Probably, I suppose.

Odd, but it actually looks like Quilladin has decent speed unless the second one has a +speed nature cause I do know the first one has a -speed nature.

Luvdiscite makes Luvdisc faster than Speed Forme Deoxys and stronger than Power Forme, but its move are all replaced by Splash.

That's a good thing. Ghost/Steel. And it's one of the Pokemon I wanted for my team when I get the game.
Also, seeing Inkay in that last leaked pic is good as well (him getting it that early at level 15), because I want Malimar too.
