Chessnaught's actually a decent design, and I say that as a veteran Chespin hater. I still prefer Greninja, though, and even if I didn't, I'm not sure I could put up with 36 levels of Chespin and Quilladin who are both awful. Still, Greninja and Chessnaught way outshine Delphox.

You think you have me all figured out as some Gen 1/2 fanboy when I don't even like a good third of those final evolutions either. It's sort of obnoxious; I'm sorry I don't share your apologism for everything Pokemon.

I think that this was maybe the best groups of starters in their first forms. But honestly, Fennekin and Chespin's finals went in a direction that I think is either aesthetically boring or stupid. And I'm almost okay with Froakie until the tongue/scarf thing bothers me all over again.

Nah, not an apologist. If only you'd here what I think about bad designed Pokemon.

But their final forms serve well in the theme that they are going. If anything, they're pretty much simple instead of going overblown. Like I said, it's the face that turns people off due to the weird angle.

Delphox is a very feminine pokemon so it would be nice to see. But then again it's never happened with one before, meganium or more male looking ones like Blastoise (especially mega with the beard!)

You know what would be cool? If for GenVII GF reworked normal type into "beast" type or something similar. Pretty much everything left in normal that isn't becomming a fairy, part of the porygon line, or regigigas fits the description of beast. They could also rebalance the type a bit.

Pretty much all the starters this gen need a scene like this.

It does not matter how you came around, my son. The important part is that you have come around.

Also, I can totally imagine Delphox being awesome and casting Fire and Psychic attacks like a mage. Probably have high special attack and special defense, but lacking everywhere else. Average in HP, maybe.
