I used to think it was cool when I was a kid when these companies got really restrictive with their copyrights. Like when Harry Potter was coming out at midnight. I remember heads rolling over people who got a copy of that stuff early. They didn't want anyone talking about it. As a kid, I felt really jealous about other people getting access early. I don't anymore because I've grown up and I've got so many hobbies that these leaks don't mean anything to me anymore but there may actually be people who were excited about the prospect of being one of the first to discover something in the game

If you were part of a huge organization that had spent multiple years and millions of dollars to coordinate a simultaneous launch across the globe and some dude in a random shop in the boonies pretty much spoils all of that, you'd probably be pretty pissed, too.

I just realized how most complaints of the final starters actually make sense when you think about it
Greninja has no foams! Frogs that mature lose bubbles.
Chesnaught has no brown! The "brown" is hidden beneath the armor.

But Chespin's final's form is great. Infact, I've been planning on going Froakie since X&Y were announced, but I'm thinking of switching over to Chespin because I like the final form that much! It's Fennekin's that's more than mediocre.
The amount of new Pokemon is definitely a bit disappointing, but there's not too much I've seen so far that I don't like. Quality over quantity I guess.

THAT sounds tremendous. After Pangoro, this new Poke is my favorite of the sixth generation so far. Saving a slot on my team for this feathered luchadore. I kind of hope it has an evolution, but if not then that is cool.
I've been following this thread all day. I'm liking pretty much everything I'm seeing so far. I've already decided to go with Froakie as my starter, and Greninja is looking awesome. I also REALLY like Chesnaught, so going with Froakie hurts me just a tad bit. I do like Delphox, but not as much as the other two.
Everything else is sitting well with me. If this is all the leaks that trickle out before October 12th, then I am okay with it. Just confirming Greninja and seeing Hawlucha's awesome potential makes me content.
of course, if anything else leaks I'll be happy to see it.

I still don't understand how some stores already have the game. Where I work we generally get Nintendo games 2-3 days early (except when it's a console launch).

Stores sign agreements with Nintendo not to break street date. Nintendo is completely within their rights in tracking the store down (that broke this agreement) and that store is completely within its rights to fire the employee that did so (assuming the owner wasn't involved). Doing this 2 weeks in advance is going to bring the hammer down particularly hard.
I really don't understand why this is such big deal to you that you are not going to buy the game. The employee sold this item and the purchaser bought this item knowing they were breaking street date. If the store allowed it they too knew they were breaking street date. They knew there might be consequences for their actions. It was great for us to see this stuff early but the leaker only has himself to blame for being so stupidly brazen about it.
