Doesn't change the fact that they were knee jerk reactions full of hyperbole, that's all I said.

And that he wasn't as bad as everyone was saying. You asked me "Why hyperbole?", I showed you the hyperbole (That I had quoted in the original post) :p
 
Based on the earlier pastes, I made another one, containing the lists from the VPer, merged together. Contains unknown slot number (both go up to 150 so far), and new Pokemon % (of those known).

I'm getting a little nervous at the lack of new evolutions to old Pokémon. They are, literally, my favorite part of each generation's batch of new Pokémon. And so far, only Gen 2 and Gen 4 have really delivered in that area.

I will be so, so disappointed if we don't get a bunch of new evolutions. Gen 5 broke my heart with its lack of any evolutions, I don't want to see that happen again. (Although Mega Evolutions are a very nice compensation...)

Maybe this will be a Gen 4 scenario where the new evolutions won't be available until after beating the game and unlocking the National Pokédex? (Please, let me cling to this hope...!)

It currently seems entirely possible that the megas replaced this feature, with the exception of sylveon and the one other eeveelution that the dex seems to have space for.

That would be lame. The Mega Evolution Mechanic is cool and all, but now it feels overdone before it really began. Two Mega Charizard? If he gets two, the other starters should too!

Then again, we don't know if Spotpass data for X & Y will update the game with newer Mega Evolutions. Pretty sure no DLC has been comfirmed. But maybe Spotpass updates?

Also, I love having lot's of new Pokemon, even if they are evolutions to older 'mons. I don't count Megas as new. They are more of a new take on an old monster, not new species all together. So I hope Gen VI will have some like Gen II and IV did. Plus I want 100 Kalos Pokemon minimum. But who knows...still 9 more days unless everything does get leaked.

Atk 145
Def 70
SpAtk 140
SDef 70
Spe 115

GF was not kidding when they said these would be equivalent to legendary pokemon. Those stats combined with 2x STAB from Adaptability is crazy.

While we're doing calcs, here's the formula for non-HP base stats if anyone wants to try estimating themselves (did this by hand one recent morning):

Base Stat = (100/Level*(Stat/Nature - 5) - IV - EV/4)/2

So that guy's just putting in estimated (and a high chance of being hilariously off) IVs and EVs. You need to be at least level 50 for 100% accuracy BTW.

That said, since they're aiming for legendary levels of power here the BST for megas is probably 600. So they should be around there but they're likely slightly less.
 
The postgame thing really hurts. I guess they are saving it for the third version though. Was it Black/White that had little postgame? I honestly never do much in Pokemon games postgame other than catch legendaries so I never remember.

The guy's logic seems to be that the National Dex will end after whatever the possible Z Pokémon is, but Gen 4 and 5 have had Pokémon in the dex after the third mascot so it's not necessarily true... Though I guess most of those were Event-Only ones. :(

The others are worse. Don't have pics, but Chespin's looks like a fucked up Machoke with a hunchback and Fennekin's is the one from before but with a dress.

I honestly don't mind most of the dex being full of old pokes. It adds a ton of variety as well as helping new and lapsed players into the game. One of my biggest complaints with gen 4 & 5 was the lack of choices. Now there can be a lot more variety and a lot less trainers reusing the same pokes. Not too mention a lot of pokemon are kinda useless after the early sections of the game so there's no point other than collecting em all.
 
Yeah I do agree he probably missing a lot of stuff. Also it isn't a major issue since supposedly "all Pokemon" are catchable amongst these two games, and one of the leaker has only 4 badges yet has 15 hours of playtime which is pretty massive for a Pokemon story, assuming he/she did not goof around (which is a possibility).

No but in the context it was posted in, and the fact that it's 100% correct for the most part (who would guess Fennekin's third form would have a dress, of all things?) I think it very likely.

I actually prefer keeping the starters simple, it's the fifth and sixth generation that hasn't delivered.
 
I mean really, the people we've been following have been playing the game for hours and hours and were still only up to the 3rd-4th badge - all things considered, and looking at the map for the region, it's looking to be a very big game already.

Regarding mega evolutions I am very surprised that pikachu's line didn't get any.

And since pikachu is that popular; I was wondering if he could have a mega form but not raichu... That would make (kind of) sense marketing-wise.

When you take evolutions, pre evolutions and the ass load of Legendaries out DP there are only like 60-70 new Pokemon in that.

We haven't seen all the Megas.
 
With 70 new Pokemon, I'm starting to doubt we will be getting much legendaries. Maybe the only new legendaries will be X, Y, and Z Pokemon. Then there's the events obviously but we won't see those till someone hacks the games.
