Because if Garchomp, an already really powerful Pokemon that might or might not have been made vulnerable by the metagame alterations can get one, then another powerful Pokemon that might or might not be made vulnerable by metagame alterations can get a Mega evolution. Fairy is strong against Dark, remember. It seems their base rationale for Megas is to bring some Pokemon up to par with legendaries, but I would also suppose the secondary and tertiary goals is to prevent classic power players being rendered obsolete as well as giving evolutions to Pokemon who couldn't/wouldn't get full evolutions.
Like I said, if Garchomp is worthy, then so is Tyranitar.
I just see a Key-ring fairy, not a lock. Unless you're counting his face/mouth as a lock.

Pretty sure that's what it does. I think most people are having problems(including me) with the keys being apart of the design.

I like the klepto concept, but it's just a little silly to me. At least unlike Klinklang I can tell what the heck it's supposed to be.
Maybe it'll grow on me, I guess.
Bwahaha. No longer weak to Dark and Bug, and can still fight back against Poison. I doubt it'll be a huge powerhouse or anything, but it should be a fun change to witness.

Grass Pledge + Fire Pledge = Fire Pledge with double power. Enemies take 1/8HP per turn for 4 turns.
Fire Pledge + Water Pledge = Water Pledge with double power. Serene Grace effect for 4 turns.
Water Pledge + Grass Pledge = Grass Pledge with double power. Enemy's speed halved for 4 turns.

Holy crap, mega Galvantula? Yes please. I loved that damn thing in Gen V and always felt like it deserved more than what it got. That bit about no one getting past the 4-5th gym is interesting. What's up with that?

Druddigon is the most ridiculous looking pokemon ever, someone explain the reasoning behind it pls.
Klefki is genius, and shows a great understanding of what "fairy" type represents. Fairies were always blamed for missing trinkets.
Also thought this was neat, while searching for fairy info, Klefki's inspiration DOES seem to come from something related to old fairy myths http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy-locks
