Might go ahead and do that then. Still need Garuda and Titan but I guess if I pick up a few more Darklight pieces I should be good to go for Titan.
I'll likely have to get the Garuda weapon myself for that too.

Totally with you. Making gil is sort of a secondary thing for me. I mostly just enjoy crafting and helping people get the tools or items they need to progress. It's fun. I'm not here to play the ruthless market game, but I'll make whatever money I can.

I saw a bard rocking one of those on Ragnarok today... almost sent a tell of sympathy about how horrible it looks. I wonder if the designers are happy with how it looks.

Honestly the model isn't terrible, it's the texture resolution and the skin design that are really bad. Grey as a backdrop for two primary colors is already ugly, but the fact that the skin looks stretched and low res on the model just makes it so much worse.
It should have some shiny bits, given that it doubles as a harp, and a better skin overall in terms of color and texture mapping.
I've gotten my DRG to 45, about to do storyline Garuda, and currently have the following crossclass skills:
Internal Release (PGL) is a must in my opinion, adds so much to DRG'S already high crit rate. I either alternate with Blood for Blood for consistent damage beteeen cooldowns, or combine with it for burst damage.
Fracture (MRD) adds another DoT to the start of my rotation.
Second Wind, Featherfoot (both PGL) and Foresight (MRD) are defensive GTFO cooldowns in emergency situations. Might add Bloodbath or Mercy Stroke to that.
Those are my thoughts at the mo.

What's your rotation? I never really liked Fracture on MRD since it's on the GCD.
Bit late to the party... but look at it this way - had the economy not been overinflated, then they'd roughly be in the same place they currently are with regards to amount of gil in the bank - they simply wouldn't have earnt the millions in the first place.

Turn off every single effect and text display, hope you get there fast enough before the rush comes in (you won't), and hope the enemy spawns before someone has already killed it (it won't). And also we have accepted that we probably will never actually see Odin/Behemoth/Some other FATE Bosses until SE does some real fixing in enemy spawning priority (they won't).
Basically, we got used to the PS3 being the extreme poverty version.
What level is Garuda normal? I am 42 but playtime is not ample these days

So I just unlocked Jump and... what's the point of it exactly? It does high damage but the cooldown is significant and I can't quite figure out how to slot it into my rotation efficiently.

Finished getting the 900 tomes this morning.
It felt really good tanking Titan last night, the thrill and the nervousness, but went through it on our fourth attempt of everyone on their not that good jobs.
Five down, two to go. Next are Lancer quests, not even touching healers.

They may not have made quite as much, but considering most of them were left at 50K after selling numerous items which require 9-10 components that sell for 30-50K it seems a astretch to say theyre "roughly in the same place". SE have access to what was sold, couldnt they simply remove the gil and "give back" the items to the crafters, or at least a chunk of tomes equal to the "cost" of the items? Theres no need for the heavy handed way they did it.
Charmer. Because clearly the only way to deal with it was to remove all the gil from people who had no way of knowing where it came from and leaving them "out of pocket" for the Tomes that went into creating the 2 star gear. You are aware its possible to understand the reasoning for something and still disagree with it, yes?
Yeah, and they aren't even returning the players items they sold on the market in the first place. Not only did people lose their gil, but they lost all the legitimate items they sold in the first place.

Mine expires today. Debating on whether to pay or wait until the housing update. I still have yet to level to 40... but the impressions people give make it seem like after (or during) endgame, all you really do is hunt armors.
Since I'm playing comfy couch with this game using a controller, I've divided a few parts of my rotation into separate macros.
DoT Macro (Feint, Fracture, Phlebotomize)
Rear Macro (Impulse Drive, Disembowel, Chaos Thrust when I get it)
Heavy Thrust
[Blood for Blood and/or Internal Release]
Main Macro (True Thrust, Vorpal Thrust)
[Life Surge]
Full Thrust
[Power Surge, Jump]
Main Macro
Full Thrust
[Spineshatter Dive]

Anything in square brackets isn't tied to GCD so they're dependant on whether their available at the time.
Jump and Spineshatter Dive (and Leg Sweep for that matter) are not part of the GCD so I usually set one of them off after some of my macros for continuous damage (see my rotation above). Combined with Power Surge, you've got potent attacks at various points of your rotation.
Of course I haven't even reached endgame yet so don't take too much of what I say as gospel, but using DRG hasn't been too complicated so far (aside from positioning).
using macros like your 'rear' and 'main macro' is a terrible idea since, if you ever move away, you'll be wasting the combo by restarting it. it also results in a lot of uptime being wasted since you're replying on /wait which doesn't exactly equal your gcd. not to mention that heavy thrust should be your opener.

So I'm well on my way to leveling my Thaumaturge at the moment. Just want to make sure I have this correct...
When I get to 30 I can go and level Archer up to level 15 and then I can learn Black Mage? Then if I want a healer I can go and level an Arcanist and Conjurer and have a Scholar? All on the same toon?

-Only one other person, another Dragoon
-A Warrior joins, the Dragoon runs off to the beginning leaving the tank and I near the monsters although we don't engage anything.
-I notice the tank looking at me and I say "It seems this party is dead". Since no one was doing anything and we lacked a healer.
-The other Dragoon starts talking
"So then leave if its dead"
I say
"Let's try to not be rude here."
then he goes
"But its dead, like you said"
"or no?"
- A healer joins the party, and we finish off the first monster very quickly but the tank goes "hmm" then leaves right there.

I did the advance melding quest and 35% to 45% is pretty low for over-clocking. Do others know about these low %'s before they ask me to meld? I just wouldn't want players getting angry if I fail.
When Jade Nephrite signs on the Ultros Server can someone ask me for a simpke meld
