This week and last week I've had no problems with any of my AK runs. In fact I've had a few where we broke my speed record by doing things such as skipping the bees at demon wall.
Well, I guess with a lot of people's free periods ending or about to end, there's more pressure to get these AK runs done as soon as possible.
On the other hand, I still don't know if it was a good decision to have the endgame revolve around a couple of dungeons.

Reading some previous posts, how can someone find out your character name from your Retainers? I've had some under-cutters in the past but I always try to list them the same going prices. If your going to undercut me, at least do it just a little lower, if I put up HQ Boar Leather for the regular 2000 don't put yours for 1359! That's such a waste of profit?!
No problems here either. Usually join a group in progress on the wall, and finish place in 10-15 minutes

Failed a dungeon for the first time. Stone Vigil be tough! At least I managed to get into a party of patient and cooperative players. It was really cool to see us gradually get better as a team. We managed to get all the way to the final boss but things got a little messy. We only had 8 minutes left and one of the players wanted to watch the cutscene. I have nothing against people viewing cutscenes but we were pressed for time and the rest of the party initiated the fight without him, leaving him locked out. I felt like we were doing pretty well for ourselves on the boss but since we were down a person we didn't have the damage output to beat him before the time expired.

it's specific.
The crafting class that can meld materia into slots is in the weapon description. As well as what kind of catalyst you need.
Probably afraid of getting guild kicked.

Not me. I'll come back later but I just have too much of a backlog to get at before the PS4 arrives.
plus they can just ask to be reinvited, they will get kicked from inactivity either way and it's making other ppl wait/do extra work
People are pissy in every dungeon. I was running HM last night on my ACN. We beat the last mini-boss (skeleton and imp), and I immediately /return to get back to the starting point, run up the stairs to remove the seal and run to the side to wait for the rest of the party. Just as I ran to the side, the GLA yells out, "Lot on the damn loot already!"
It couldn't have been more than 30 seconds and he was already complaining. Mind you, no loot had been sitting in wait up until that point. It had all moved out pretty quickly.
That's just a mild example. I run into complete tools all the time using DF.
I'm definitely sticking around. Still have a few days left on my free sub but will renew after it ends.
My Dragoon is Lv 40 now. Feels good! Next up Stone Vigil. Still have to finish off a few quests and might have to grind a few FATEs but it shouldn't be too much of a bother.

Anyone know if those prepaid visa card things work for the sub?

I've been leveling the starting classes, and have Pug at 14, Glad at 11, Con at 15, and Lancer at 11. I'm thinking of trying Marauder next.
I'm not sure which direction to take. I'm hesitant to take a DPS class because I'd probably have difficulty finding a group, but I'm not sure how heavily that weighs in XIV.
In regard to tanking, what's the debate with Warrior/Paladin?
Are Monks and Dragoons worth it?

After I finished the story, I have gotten pretty bored with it as well.
Dragoon does insane amounts of damage over time, I find I do better than Black Mages over time. It's faster than a lot of other jobs, too. Keep in mind as DRG or MNK you'll want to attack the monster from the rear to optimize your damage and you have to dodge attacks where as Bard or Black Mage rarely have to get that close or dodge much in dungeons.
There is a downside to picking DPS, though. It takes a considerable more amount of time to get into dungeon parties than let's say Tank or Healer. It usually takes me 30, 40, or 50 minutes to get into dutyfinder parties as DRG.
not really. you have to be in flank for heavy thrust or rear for impulse drive otherwise whatever

Have you tried The Binding Coil of Bahamut yet? If not, you're missing out.
I'd rather be doing that than burning myself out on endless CM/AK runs anyway.
yeah but i wanted at least full DL before doing that, will try that next week as soon as i get +1 on weapon
i haven't even checked how that looks on yt runs so i'm pretty excited

I have a friend in my freecompany that frequently tests my abilities as Whitemage. Having said that playing Whm is really fun. I also intend to level BLM and SMN/SCH. Also from what I hear Monk has high DPS as for tanks I hear PLD are the preferred although I don't know the specifics on why.
After waffling back and forth on it for the past week, decided not to resub. I love the game, but WoW is still my primary MMO. I was wanting this to be my casual on-the-side game, but the way its designed thats just simply not feasible sadly. I'll be back for 2.1 I'm sure, but as it stands right now...

Since the 300 cap on Mytho tomes I hear +1 takes a while. But if you grind CM/AK DL pretty fast a conservative estimate would be a week but you could do it faster depending on your tolerance for grinding and occasionally bad groups.

Then id find people you trust in your FC. If you are on Sargatanas me and 6 others are on the grind. We do Garuda, AK/CM. My name is PhoenixPiras.

I know the red stats are typically brought on for capping the bonus on the stat increase for that piece of equipment. I would suggest using lower level materia.

There is cap for stats based on the item level.
I may still change my mind in a week or two because I'm indecisive as hell, but yeah.
Part of my issue was being 2-3 weeks behind everyone in terms of finishing the story, that it has been so hard to even get ifrit hm groups that after a couple days I would find myself just logging in, doing some mining leves, and logging back out.
It's not the materia, it's the caps
Items have stat caps, higher level/quality ones have higher caps
But a good general rule of thumb is you can't add more of an existing stat to an item (usually). Try adding other stats first.
Primary stats >>>>> secondary stats
There's still plenty of people doing that stuff. Just bad timing I guess. I'm always happy to help with anything when I'm available.
