Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | October 2013 | Ver 2000, Batman and some Angry Birds

These shots will impress like 3 people. One of them will get mad, as I plan on tweeting it at him.

Hi Chubigans.

Crazy! Congrats !!!

I love this game but man, I feel that for getting all the rainbows and shit you just need so much trial and error, I have to restart the game over and over until I get the perfect tower combination.
Am I doing something wrong or is it actually supposed to be like that?

Yeah, I've always been a sucker for Everybody's Golf and while it's a shame that it's sub-native I don't find myself minding that much with games that have more cartoony artstyles.
Would be so down for an Everybody's Golf outing. Played with 3 other gaffers once, was awesome. I can only imagine the fun with 8 o.O

Guys, I need a recommendation for a great puzzle game for Vita for my trip tomorrow.

Treasures of Montezuma is a free and addicting match 3 game-
Basically you are start with 5 hearts, each heart refills over time. When you run out of hearts you won't be able to play...
Now don't let that turn you off, like I said it's addicting, I once spent nearly 30-45 minutes playing this one time!
See as you keep scoring you get EXP which increase your level, the higher your level the more extra abilities you can start using to help you in getting even higher scores.
Furthermore, leveling up rewards you with refilling your hearts, and once you get the hang of the game, you'll start getting higher and higher scores, thus extending your allowed play time.

There's also 2 other $4.99 puzzle games-

That's it off the top of my head atm sad to say ^^;

Lumines isn't bad if you're getting it cheap. But at launch, at the full 40$.... damn. That hurt.

I've bought Ridge Racer 4. I don't know, i just feel like playing a good arcade racer and for 5€ you can't go wrong.

I'm having a blast with the game. Ok, graphics are not that good (it's a PS1 game after all) but driffting feels sooooo good. OST is cool too.

I almost finished my first Gran Prix (it seems it's the story mode). I read in Wikipedia there is 320 cars, what I have to do to unlock them all? I suppose that's the goal of the game.

Man, when the 64GB memory card comes in I've realised that I'm going to have problems FILLING it.

Same. At first I thought I'd max any card quick going full DD, but thanks to wallpapers I got really organized. For now with the 32 Card I'm set to have 6 Vita Games, 6 PSP Games, 6 Indie Games, and 6 PSone games. All bubbles well placed to work with my wallpaper. I'm still not out of GBs, but I'm running low. I guess with a 64GB card I can add another screen specifically for online games and maybe add some music to the Vita.

Lumines as long as you don't forget your headphones

Thanks guys :)

I won't be playing with headphones, seeing as my current one doesn't really fit well in my ears. How about that picross clone? Is it worth it?

Guys, I need a recommendation for a great puzzle game for Vita for my trip tomorrow.

Nicoli's games are good suggestions, there's also Quell Momento and Where's My Heart?
If your country have access to PSM games you can try Picbox. I think it becomes much better on Vita thanks to physical controls.

Thanks guys :)
How about that picross clone? Is it worth it?
If you mean Picbox, I believe it provides a great value for its price. 3 difficulty levels - 5x5, 10x10, 15x15, good controls etc.

So I was playing SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny and I saw the install option in menu, is it even worth doing the install option with PSP games on Vita?

On PSP I remember I think Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep it helped, I think.

I'm thinking of picking up both Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus games for the Vita, is this a good idea?
I've never played any of the Ninja Gaiden games before but I watched some videos and I like that kind of combat style in a game. From what I've read, they're both ports of previous games? Are both of them worth getting or just one of them, or neither?

I recently finished both and loved them! Highly recommended. Some will argue. That the frame rate is bad but honestly, I very early noticed it and when I did it didn't bother me.

Seconding Quell Memento.

Great! bought both :)

What is VitaGafs impression of Disgaea 3? Is the extra cost worth it over the older ones?

I feel stupid for not having PS+ when it was free.

There's still 100+ players on weekday evenings and on weekends. And the daily challenges still have 1000+ players participating, so the online aspect is still alive.

Not as much, though, since GTA V arrived.

It contains all DLC from PS3 ver. So yes, there is only one choice - get the Vita one.

Also, new characters like Lucille, Stella, Disgaea4 characters like Fuuka and Desco, and four new scenarios.

There are also lots of gameplay improvements.

Where's everyone getting their 64GB card from anyway? I'm thinking of picking one up, but I'm not sure from where (needs to ship to Netherlands/Europe) and preferably as cheap as possible..

Pretty certain I already know the answer to this, but I would just like confirmation...PSP game saves are on the memory card, not tied to the bubble right? So by deleting the bubble you get rid of the game, but the save is safe until you delete that otherwise?

Need to make room for another PSP game I've been eyeing for a while..

Even as a big jrpg fan/tactics fan Disgaea is on my shit list.

It is overly simple in ways that should be deep, and overly complicated on many simple things.

Not to mention that the art/dialog/character designs ARE GOD AWFUL. Deviantart level of bad.

Just ordered Soul Sacrifice and Sly Cooper Thieves in Time for just 20euro, really sweet deal, hope they get delivered before the end of the upcoming week.
Now I will play the heck out of the Soul demo, with hopes I will be able to continue my save from the gamecard.

I know I can download psn games from the vita and then transfer them to the pc, but is it possible to download the games from the pc and then transfer them to the vita? My wi-fi suxs and downloading 3gb games takes ages. :(

Ugh, I just want to order Dragon's Crown, but I would feel better if my copy of Killer is Dead shows up at Amazon's warehouse before I use my trade-in credit..

Speaking of this, when is the 64G supposed to be coming out? I need more space thanks to + and don't want to spend $70 on a 32 if the new ones are right around the corner...

It's not a game of memorizing tower order and placement, you just need a battle plan (so knowing enemy movement and waves is most important).
The only time you need to perfect your order is for some of the special trophies, rainbowing is fairly straightforward except for 1-2 maps.

Yes this is correct. Now go play P3P.

my feed quality was going crazy so I didn't record.

Took a few snippets

What the heck is going on here?!
Did they show this monster in the stream? I'd love to know how that thing manages to move around. Having Toukiden Monsters in SS is great.

I think Toukiden have passed the 400k mark (Vita + PSP sales combined). It's pretty damn good for a new IP in Japan. Do you think it could become huge? (at least achieve GE level of popularity).

And can someone tell me what you have to do to unlock every car in RR4? I read there are 320. But 4 teams x 4 car manufactures x 4 cars unlocked each GranPrix = 64 cars.

There are some time trials too, and other game modes, but I haven't tried those yet.

Thanks! Great tip, though I already played and beat it! I got it 2 months before p4g came out, put 150 hours on it, and then beat it the day after I got my Solid Gold P4 in the mail, then immediately started that up. I did just delete it from my card, though I have been wanting to play through as a lady...

Amazon Warehouse had a copy of Dragon's Crown for only $30, so I decided to just go with that! Thank you Killer is Dead for having a good trade in value!

I'm gonna buy this when I get a Vita. Seems like and awesome, meaty racer to sink a ton of time into. I'm a fan of the RR games but missed R4 in its day.

In fact, there's several PS1 games I plan to get when I get a Vita
on Black Friday.
