The only real beef I have with the Kalos dex is the middling type variety. Poison, Bug and Dark got the shaft it seems.

Indeed, I have literally ran out of usable Electric Pokémon to use, barring the legendary.

Pichu, Stunfisk, Helioptile and Dedenne are only one that I haven't used yet.

Every gen has a lot of Pokémon of certain types and very few from others. That isn't exclusive to Gen VI.

Shin Megami Tensei. Vaguely similar premise to pokemon, but came about 10 years beforehand. Very hard (You collect monsters you fight alongside and there's an elemental weakness system. The similarities end there)

Every gen has a lot of Pokémon of certain types and very few from others. That isn't exclusive to Gen VI.

It isn't, but I don't remember the last time 7 types have had less than 7 members.(Bug,Elec,Dark,Fighting,Ground,poison, ghost.)

Doesn't make much sense to me. That would mean we know pretty much every Pokemon now, right? There would be far less legendaries than normal, no trio, etc. It'd also mean the Mountain Dex has far less new Pokemon than the other two.

I think there's just more out there to be found and only a few people playing it right now.

Agreed, it's clear that Game Freak are counting the Mega toward the new Pokémon numbers when they shouldn't as Mega aren't really new Pokémon but just a super form for the old Pokémon.

I do not want mega returning again, if it means cutting the numbers of new Pokémon.

In IGN's video review it says you can heal your Pokemon now before sending them out, which I assume means on the same turn but it might have been interpreted wrong.

Also, Gamespot's video review shows String Shot got a buff. Brings Speed by 2 stages now, nothing that big but still.

Not sure, but I still find people that want to be spoiler free, even on release day, hilarious. And with Pokemon of all things. I don't see the difference between discovering a new pokemon in the game vs. seeing it for the first time through a leak, or a guide, etc.

I mean, you're on the internet. If you don't want to be spoiled, just don't go on neogaf for a week so other people who want to discuss things can.

I can understand story spoilers, but not something like not wanting to be spoiled on a Pokemon's name or look.
