Doesn't surprise me. The kids and the staff of my high school were fucking racist. This popped up in my memory a few days ago. I recalled asking some kids why they didn't trust me to do them a favor then this prick redhead kid flat out said "because you're black". Having to deal with racist kids and principles was just horrid.


Insult to injury, whenever one of my math teachers referred to black people, he'd call us "City Kids". I would overhear conversations between him and other teachers about how he had to break up fights between blacks.

It's in Pennsylvania, western Chester county. It's odd, that areais known for two things; the City of Coatesville and the giant, mostly shuddered steel mill that dominates the town (along with a great deal of poverty and all of the issues that brings) and, just south of the city, some of the most exclusive and prestigious horse breeding farms in the world. The owner of one of those farms likely has a higher net worth than every man, woman and child in the city of Coatesville put together.

I sat through a Uni lecture where the Professor was talking about about internet restrictions in various countries, pointed at one student (who she presumed to be from the Middle East) and asked "what's it like in your country?. I was horrified, but also shocked that the student basically didn't say anything back even though she lives in Canada as a citizen. It wasn't overly racist ... but I mean come on.

Bitch is lucky she didn't pull that shit with me.

Edit: As for the questions about Coatesville, it's pretty much a rather run down town that happens to be situated right next to some of the wealthiest towns in this state. Before the Daily Local mucked up their Disqus format, any time there was any story about some crime happening in Coatesville, it would pretty much very predictably bring out a bunch of blatant racists from the "privileged" areas to make offensive remarks about the people in the town.
