How complete or good is the trainer customisation feature? Just changes in colours or something more elaborated?

Too many Legendaries I have a problem with.

But you can never have too many regular Pokemon. :'(

At least all of the new ones + Megas have been great.

As long as Mega Pinsir turns out to be true, I'm perfectly satisfied with this generation's selection. Everything we've seen so far has been fantastic. Probably my favorite group of pokemon in quite a while.

All the post-game only legendaries in D/P were after Dialga and Palkia in National Dex order in Gen IV. There could still be quite a few hanging out in there.

Sinnoh without evolves and legends only had 79 Pokemon :)

This generation is one big shout-out to Gen IV, so it makes sense.

I was expecting some more "heavy-hitters," though. Take BW, for example - it had a ton of new, intimidating powerhouses like Haxorus, Hydreigon, Ferrothorn, etc. and I feel like Kalos natives are a little underwhelming in that regard save for a few like Greninja. Like I said before, though, it seems like XY is the GSC to BW's RBY, so it's to be expected.

But we got TONS of decent Pokes that gen that were new and we got evos for some of my favs, honchkrow, yanmega, tangela, all tight ass evos, it was the perfect gen after the hoenn disaster. That gen literally depressed me.

This gen we get almost 85% horrid designs, and fake evos for mons that dont even need them.

I had hope, but oh well.

You know what, at least the sprites this time have at least a modicum of effort put into it unlike the half ass animations of B/W.

It'll be fun to see how they animate my favourite pokemons.

This generation is one big shout-out to Gen IV, so it makes sense.

I was expecting some more "heavy-hitters," though. That bold part is interesting. In what way? This gen is a massive homage to the first generation above all else, something that several leakers have commented on. Lots of stuff there meant to tickle nostalgia.

I'm okay with the small number of new pokemon since a slew of my favorites are present in-game for me to enjoy.

Am I the only one that's glad there won't be a crap-ton of legendaries this generation? Limiting the number makes the few given seem more rare and valuable.

On an unrelated note, I hope that Gen VII, VIII, IX, and X pay tribute to Gen II, III, IV, and V, respectively, just like Gen VI is doing to Gen I.

I disagree. Legendaries feel rare and valuable due to the fact that there is only one of a given type available in the game, they're strong, and they have a low capture rate. As it stands, there is only one new legendary that you can catch in the game (Xerneas or Yveltal, depending on version), which is the lowest number in any gen. This also means that there are no new non-uber legendaries, so the only new legendaries available will be banned from ranked battle. I'm pretty disappointed that there isn't at least a new trio, as there has been in every previous entry.

The main reason I'm OK with fewer legendaries is that I've just not really enjoyed what's been available. I haven't really enjoyed a non-main, non-event legendary probably since Latios/Latias.

Not concerned at all about the 70 pokemon thing. This generation has the most pokemon overall from every combined generation capturable, right? That's fine for me, there's SO much choice. People want more pokemon when they're only going to end up using a few of them anyway. They just want it because more sounds better than less. I don't doubt that there will be more legendaries after Yveltal, Z legendary was confirmed by the 70 pokemon only leaker at least.

Kind of weird that the only Pokémon related to older ones is Sylveon.

Seems like Megas completely pushed out the "real" evolutions of old pokemon. I guess it makes sense. There's only really a few older pokemon that feel like they need another evolution, and most of those are getting megas.
