Why's that? It's just a Pokemon take on old legends like any other legendary. Like Mew is Gamefreak's take on the missing link, Arceus was a take on the belief in God or a god. It's just different interpretations and just because people in the game believe Arceus created everything or that Mew really was the origin of all Pokemon, doesn't mean it's actually true.

I was thinking this earlier. D/P/Plt/HG/SS/B/W/B2/W2 made it seem like a new game every year (not complaining, just saying)
Not to mention, we are probably getting Gen III remakes within the next 18 months.

Man, I was hoping they'd at least give us some of the Frontier modes like Battle Factory. Stop giving us cool features only to remove them for the third iteration.
Post-game for Pokemon has always been a thing I invest more in the 3rd game rather than the initial two. When I first get a new generation of games, I typically spend a lot of time experimenting with teams and catching the new pokemon. I don't really have the time to go into post game much. When the next game comes along, I already have a good grasp on the pokemon and can work on post game more. I don't think that excuses a crapy post-game, but it's just not a big deal for me. Hopefully X/Y-2 will have a nice and robust end game.

i'm okay with only 70 pokemon but I guess I will always be dissapointed by the post game; seems like gamefreak will never top what they did with Gold/Silver/Crystal...B/W and Fire Red and Leaf Green did a respectable job

Well to be honest the post-game in this sounds fine to me, especially if the online is as good as they say. Might get me into battling people, which I haven't done in any Pokemon game to date.
Wait, no. The musketeers are the very definition of tacked on designs. They feel so uninspired and unrelated. The designs don't even fit well together. It seems like GF just decided to throw some related moves and abilities on a bunch of separate designs to call them a trio.

GEN II's post content is nothing to brag about. I mean sure its awesome to fight the gym leaders in Kanto, but holy shit the Pokemon in the wild. WHY!? level 5's, 10's and 15's? The fuck.
Yet completely forgettable.
Very, considering how puny and boring Johto was in G/S/C just so they could include a bad version of Kanto as postgame content.

The only designs I don't like in them are Virizion and Keldeo, and even then I give Keldeo free pass because it's supposed to be a child and reminds me of Blue Blink.
They're supposed to be unrelated because they are unrelated - i.e. they are only united by a cause but otherwise are from supposedly different groups.

Oh man you missed out. GAF tournaments (when they finished anyway lol) were great.
About the same as double the effort to make a single one if you expect that continent to be decent and fully realised and not a boring rehash like Kanto in GSC.

The Psychic trio was the worst. Boring monotypes, little differentiation. Just awful. Azelf was kinda cool, but would have been better as a standalone legend.
...so like Mason, as Fey was implying was the wrong way? I say Claire like Air and Bear, btw.

I wouldn't mind 70 so much if most of the Pokemon didn't look like trash/ incomplete evolves.
It's like I waited ... and waited ... and waited for some awesome Pokemon to turn up and have me go "OMG, I gotta jump ship now because if this is what i have in store then I wanna be taken by surprise with the others!!!". Trex is the closest thing to that this gen and it was revealed before the leaks. Seeing these new Pokemon I just gotta say that I find most of them disgusting and disappointing.
Sooo yeah ... if you're gonna cut the numbers (I actually think they may be waiting for events to release things like Mega stones or more Pokemon) then make ssure to make some awesome Pokemon designs to make up for it.

I've liked every version mascot legendary so far, but after Gen III, the large output of legendary Pokémon have kind of diminished their worth.
This is all completely subjective though. I like most of the pokemon this gen.

Mason is kinda close but the n in it is a bit too hard. The air and bear sound is what I meant. The youtube link posted above has it right, but of course depending on the dialect there can be slight variations.

You know how kamis are depicted in Japanese art? A mainstream example should be Akuma's DLC costume in SF4. Their tails are supposed to be those halo/beads.
