Is Zygarde a reference to Midgard/Asgard?

Also someone needs to parody this with Zygarde:

lol this was the first thing I thought of
after NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Looks really nice, but wish they went Dragon/Poison. :(

Not sure how I feel about its ability specifically being a hard counter to the abilities of the other legendaries. Oh well, it'll be banned anyway so it's not like it matters much. Design is so badass. Cannot wait to see it's inevitable form changes.

Why were people assuming the list of new Pokemon stops at 717?

The national 'dex stopped at 717, yet Zygarde was just revealed, and it's #718.

How do we know there aren't a few more?

Probably just the event legendary now. I doubt it'd be more than one this time due to no trio. Unless the trio for this gen are event only.

I'm in love with Zygarde's design. Possible top 5 legendary design for me. Shame about it's typing though. As if we really needed another Dragon legend.

It'll get an alternate forme...just wait a year or two. I mean come on, that ability doesn't seem that great. Dragon/Poison alternate forme, calling it.

So Xerneas is immune to Dragon and Yveltal is immune to Ground. Maybe that played a role in deciding its type? Meh...it's not like Groudon/Kyogre/Rayquaza were equal in terms of type advantages.

I love when legendaries like Zygarde have actual important functions in the world. It makes it pretty hilarious when your trainer just captures them and removes them from the ecosystem. The main character is like some sort of horrible environment killer.

Also love that the legendaries went back to the original Red, Blue, Green color pallette.

I JUST BLEW YOUR MIND.
They just can't stop stealing from Gen I!

No trio is a major bummer. God don't let it be the birds again. I somehow have like three Zapdoses in BW.

Not sure how to feel about Zygarde. Not really feeling that design. But then again, that's what I also said about Giratina before origin forme was shown for Platinum. I expect Z version to make it look better.

I'm guessing it stops at 720 or 721, which would give us 2-3 more mons still left to be unveiled.
The persistence of some people amuses me.
They'll be unveiled in due time. Courtesy of DLC and/or events. Next year.
Until then... 718.

Let's complete those regional dexes!

Not here for kind of Poison legendaries.

There's still the event legendaries right guys

I'm really starting to think that GF really is trolling Poison fans/users. Both the Goomy line and Zygarde have no business NOT having a Poison in at least one of their types, both designs/concepts scream of it.

We only get 1 (Well 2 if you count the line) Poison type this entire gen, and that's beyond bull (Ground kinda gets screwed as well).

GF has some real issues when it comes to balancing types each gen. I know it's not going to come out evenly, but seriously... you give one type more than 12 out of the measly 70 but you only give another 1? Yeash... :\

Nice to see them using the RSE philosophy of "Give the mediating legendary an ability that shuts down the other two" rather than "Lol give it Pressure"

You can choose your skin tone at the start of the game. I assume it's if you want to change it at some point.

Yeah, but are there more options with "Skin treatment" or just the same?
Freckles options? Scars or moles? How deep does it go?

That's what I wanna know. :o

I'm actually kind of surprised GameFreak hasn't just gone all the way and removed poison altogether (as a type, not a condition). They clearly have no intention of buffing/supporting it.

Making them super effective against fairy types gave then a pretty good boost and they got a few new moves apparently.

I'm guessing that's because you can't transfer items up. Given that Game Freak decided to give out the 3 gen 4 legendaries right before this game releases there might be some kind of ingame event featuring them though.

It's so strange, but I like it. The most important question now is, can we finally use Legendaries in the Mansion?!
Non-broken legendaries, yes, like always. Of which X and Y seem to have, like, none of.

Ubers, like Zygarde? No way. That would go against the entire point of these facilities...

At least it got the advantage over Fairy.

Ice, on the other hand ...

Wait, Mewtwo's not catchable in X/Y? That's odd, given how damn hyped his Megas are. I guess he'll be an early event distribution, but still really strange.
