There are a few winners like the tree and Aegislash (cool ability), but come on. Keys are a pokemon now?

All I see is 3 awesome pokemon in a list.

Albiet I wanted klefi to evolve into key master that can control them with it's mind or something to that regard, creating a spinning barrier.

EDIT: A clock pokemon in general would be awesome

Not surprisingly, this gen's new pokemon are a disappointment overall like the last two gens. There are a few winners like the tree and Aegislash (cool ability), but come on. Keys are a pokemon now? What's next? An Alarm Clock pokemon? A telephone pokemon? A magazine pokemon?

Magnets

I heard Heracross, Druddigon, and Galvantula.

Where's that list of Mega Evolutions that was posted to 2ch a few days ago?

Hoping it's real.

It's typing is lame, it evolves at level 70 which is all but assured to be post game, and it's stats aren't really that impressive for a pseudo legendary.

Pure Dragon is still a great typing, and it's actually got great stats paired with a great ability. Not every pesudo needs to be a sweeper.

I really want Kanto wiped from everyone's minds.

Wishing for Kanto to appear in every game makes me wanna hulk smash more than MMO/console demands.

Sadly, Kanto will probably appear yet again this console generation.

Anyone else really wish they would make a better story in the games (I thought BW was a good step forward in this, only for them to take that step back since then).

We don't know story details yet though. Leakers sped through the game.

What's next? An Alarm Clock pokemon? A telephone pokemon? A magazine pokemon? Only 1 new poison type that's not only exclusive to Y and but has an underwhelming design? And I don't like the pseudo legendary. I'm not a fan of the design, It's typing is lame, it evolves at level 70 which is all but assured to be post game, and it's stats aren't really that impressive for a pseudo legendary.

Ahh this one again.

It's not a key Pokemon. It's a key ring fairy Pokemon. It looks weird, but the lore is very refreshing.

And calling Gen V having disappointing Pokemon is laughable.

NO WHIMSICOTT
WHAT THE HECK

THESE GAMES ARE GARBAGE

I can't even use Whimsicott for 2 months, what the heck is wrong with Gamefreak.
Garbage developers.

This list has already been proven false. For example, no Gardevoir listed under Gen III when we know she has a Mega.

It would have been cooler if it had more "mythical" looking keys it could actually control that were key's to people's hearts/other dimensions/something more interesting than real life keys.
Make it the keys to heaven and rip off keyblades, I don't care.

Damn, I sure am loving my poor taste right now, cuz I love all new Pokemon designs (including Key-mon) and mega-evolutions. Couldn't be any more hyped for the game. And now you tell me there's an initial 450 Pokemon I get to choose my team of 6 from? Yeah. Sign me up.

All I need is some mega Arcanite and I'm ready to go.

Its fake. Its missing Pokemon we've already seen and IIRC someone pointed out that it spelt out generation in Katakana when a Japanese word written in Kanji is usually used.

Is that list from the "Mega Evolution" picture?

Good Arceus, that was fake. it was from an attempt to make a legit "list" only to use wrong Japanese kana. The faker redid the image in English to make it more "believable".

It would have been cooler if it had more "mythical" looking keys it could actually control that were key's to people's hearts/other dimensions/something more interesting than real life keys.

Nah, that one actually would make it sound generic.

I like how Klefki plays on the typical fae lore of being mischievous.

Aside from Gen I of course. Gamefreak favouritism goes without question.

nah that was fake.

No matter how much I look at this Im not sure it makes sense to me

edit:so there are exactly 450 pokemon in this game?

This makes no sense - how would we know that there are only 450 Pokemon in the game? Even if you add up all three dexes, you're still missing the National Dex, and that has to list the other 200+ Pokemon somewhere.

No, that list is not based on that picture, it's different...the picture didn't have Aerodactly while the list does.

I'm thinking Mewtwo may not have a Regional Dex slot.
Blaziken (and other event giveaways) may not either.

I'm expecting Joltik & Galvantula to show up in slots 109 & 110 in the Mountain dex right after Ariados.

But the real keys are part of the lore. People blame fairies for missing keys.

Yes, but it could have been so much more.

Fairy type has become a catch-all to anything that makes mischief. It's incredibly obvious that it was a less offensive stand-in for light that could also accompany more design styles, which I'm fine with. Hell, I'm fine with Xerneas and Carbink's, and to an extent, Klefki's designs. But there could be so much more.

The only thing at this point that could redeem it for now is if Cresselia is retyped to it or if the rumored ground/fairy looks good.

Pure Dragon is still a great typing, and it's actually got great stats paired with a great ability. Not every pesudo needs to be a sweeper.
Oh, I love Dragons. Along with poison and fire, it's my favorite typing overall. However, a pure dragon was never something exceptional in any gen, and this gen in particular dragons are nerfed by fairies. They resist a lot but they're only strong against their own type.

I know loads of people like this design, but I myself have always been a fan of more intimidating designs. Goodra looks like something a 4 year old wants to hug.

It's ability makes it look like something that make it look like a good special tank in water teams, but other than that, I don't know why you'd want the thing. Even in a casual playthough, it's unlikely to evolve until you've completed the game. This has turned off numerous players from using it. Granted I don't know the move pool yet.

It lists them, but some of them will definitely need to be imported from B/W and D/P.

Someone speculated earlier that you could visit Kanto, which if true would be awesome

Do people really want to play in Kanto for the fifth time? -___- I mean, I know it would be in 3D this time but geez, can we give it a break? How many times can one play in that bland region before realizing their nostalgia is blinding them?

So I'm guessing Mountain 72-73 are Joltik and Garvantula, Coastal 141-143 is Dragonite family(it seems like it would be reserved towards the end of a pokedex) and One of the 3 consecutive spaces is the Seismitoad family

EDIT: Apparently the list is bullshit, nevermind.

I still want Mega Darkrai, Galvantula and Metagross dammit.
Well, you'll definitely get your Mega Galvantula. Apparently it's been confirmed there's a Mega Stone for him in the game. Now we just need a leaker to use it...

Yeah, wasn't this the case for D/P? I don't remember, but a lot of Pokemon had be transferred from the GBA games. I think mainly Gen I stuff. But that was so long ago so I might be mistaken.

He even got the wrong rumor. It was Hoenn that was hinted and not Kanto. lol

seriously, that guy

I liked Gen V better than IV or this one overall. But there were only I think 5 or so that I'm fond of (which made up my team), and then maybe a dozen or so that are neat in design but wouldn't use in my team either because of typing, movepool, or b/c I already had someone of that type.

Most of the Pokemon that got evolutions could be caught in the postgame with the Pokeradar, swarms and in hidden areas, but there were a couple that still needed to be imported (Tangela), and some that only had access to their evolution through the dongle method (Magmortar/Electivire).

Ruby and Sapphire remakes, with Hoenn remade in full 3D, and Mega Groudon and Mega Kyogre on the covers, would be something interesting, I'd say.

Gen V gave plenty of good type combos or mons that utilize combos fairly well

I'm still not buying the existing of stones for Galvantula, Heracross and Druddigon.
No screenshots.
Hell, we don't even have a makeshift name for the stone ala that bogus Arcanite from the other day.

Ah, if that's the case, I'll do what you're doing and remain skeptical. I was under the impression we had more definitive proof since no one was questioning it and every chart listing Megas indicates a Galvantula stone has been found.

I'm not sure how I feel about Megas. Most designs are ok but idk if I'd like it gameplay wise. Someone speculated earlier that you could visit Kanto, which if true would be awesome, but someone else said that post-game is limited, so it seems unlikely to me. I'm 50/50 on the game right now, played every gen since the original Yellow in 1999 and bought them all except gen 4, but at this point it seems unlikely for me to buy it. Maybe used down the road.

This gen actually convinced me to end here. I never thought it would happen, I get 3D I get customization of my character I get like a handful of mons this gen Im not tempted to drag behind a shed a finish off. If the 3rd upgrade game can save things then more power to it. The pluses of 3D will be a nice experience with old favs, but after that, i have nothing left.

The decision was based on a mixture of things. Like seeing a thread in another forum revealing the Z legendary. I open the thread and see its pic and Im like

"... Oh..Coo... Wait... Face is fucked up... Shame"

Look at the responses I'm seeing "cools" "awesomes" and "gimmies". I literally felt like everyone around me had finally just lost it all and went full batshit. Kind of like when I was doing this charity thing with my wife and there were all these free toys for kids, the little girls had pretty good taste. But the boys (in first 2nd grade) would come up and see a cool dinosaur but instead become fixated on a worn out play container with nothing on it? Wtf? I guess the same reasoning applies to older people and pokemon designs.
