Is there even any way to buff the types that need it without messing up other types?

Ice needs a major defensive buff.
Rock needs a defensive buff.
Grass needs an overall buff.
Bug needs an offensive buff. (Way to go GameFreak, Fairy should definitely resist one of the worst offensive types...)

And depending on how Fairy types effects the balance, Dark might be lacking offensively. Maybe Psychic defensibly too.

Hopefully Poison is better now with an extra defensive and offensive option.
Ice and rock are super good offense that's why they are weak defense.

The other two points I agree on.

Beedrill should have received a Mega

There isn't a way to buff those without making other types underpowered. There will always be types that are weaker than others. Also, AFAIK(been a while since I checked competitive) certain Pokemon rule the metagame, not the types. Dragon type itself isn't OP per se, but the Dragons themselves were because of their huge BST's and movepools. The fact that the typing allows for a lot of switch-in opportunities and they ruled everything.

Grass type Pokemon need better movepools in general before they can be viable in any way.

I love them for stuff like this.

Superior!

Ice's Fire weakness has always been bizarre to me. Like, I understand the "Fire melts Ice" idea....but it doesn't really match up with Water beating Fire.

We'll see how it shakes out in a month or two, but one thing we do know is that poison got a huge offensive buff and dragon got nerfed. Poor outrage.
The problem is that Fairies are weak to both Poison and Steel. All they need to do is carry a Ground-Type attack and they cover both of their weaknesses. Poison also didn't get a defensive buff which it sorely needs, so everything it can do...steel can do better.

Ice and rock are great offensively, but so is ground. Ice needs at least one more resistance, and rock as well. The only way I can think is making ice resist water, and rock losing it's ground weakness. Ground is probably the best type in the game, so it's probably the only type that can be nerfed without ruining it. Water is great as well, though not nearly as good as ground.

Grass needs a buff like nobody's business. Seriously.

How can you guys hate on Aromatisse? Look at this hilarious mofo:

It's going to be in my team just because it makes me laugh just looking at it.
*hilarious. And not sassy*

You'r liking it wrong.

I hate this fad. I don't know what it's from, and I don't care; all I know is that I hate it.

Anime
Tsunder trope. And since the anime market has shifted heavy to waifu's and husbano's it isn't going away any tim soon.

Yeah, Ice needs some serious work. It is super-effective against Dragon, Ground, Grass and Flying which is fine, but it only resists itself which is fucking terrible. I also think that Water should lose it's resistance to Ice, it doesn't make sense and would be a good buff.

As for a defensive buff...resisting Dragon would be a good start. Maybe Electric as well?

I got an email from Best Buy saying my order is ready for pickup. It's a little ways out of the way, so in debating in whether to attempt to pick it up. I don't want to drive down there and have them realize their mistake.

Ice resisting water/electric and losing it's rock weakness would be great. Rock loses some offense because of the ice change but removing it's ground weakness would be a godsend. Grass could super effective against Fairy, and Bug could...well that's a tough one. Fairy resisting Bug is such a baffling decision.

Call them, don't mention the date inconsistency but just see if it is actually available.

Hmm, that's true. I was looking at it from a specific pkmn point of view. Gengar/Scizor got huge buffs and it gives pkmn like Venusaur a reason to carry poison moves. But other poison types do still need help.

The biggest thing for me is that fire resists fairy so hopefully I can get in some nice switches for Arcanine or Charizard (unless stealth pebbles... Or hard read for earthquake -_-)

I'm excited to see how much the meta changes.

He's not really wrong. The horn samples Gamefreak used in all their GBA games were less than endearing.

Sort of weird opinion here, but I like R/S/E's music and hate FR/LG's music. Especially odd since I used to really like FR/LG's music, but over time, most of it became extremely obnoxious to me. FireRed is probably the only Pokemon game that I've turned the volume off for because most of the music was that annoying to me.

EuroGaf here - just got an email, that my copy of superior Y will be dispatched tomorrow.

Thursday is going to be a good day.

I got similar email from GAME :) Might do a quick playthrough before going back to the previous one since I need to build my teams still.
