Vita king of stealth releases confirmed!

Oh you are kidding me! It was only a day ago that I was wishing for Malicious to hit the EU store after hearing about the US release - and there it is!
Gots no money to buy it as yet, but at least it's there. Nice surprise.

This is awesome!

Man, P4G prologue sure is long. I want the game to open right now damn it!!

Still, it's awesome. 3 hours in (almost 4) and i'm really liking the game. The ost is top notch, i'm loving every single song. I'm liking quite a lot Chie, though her voice is a little annoying sometimes.

Battle system seems to be the same as Persona 3, and I thought it was awesome. Graphics are really an upgrade for P3P (not only backgrounds, character models and everything is a lot better).

I've just
fight Chie other self.

Glad you are enjoying it, dat best PS2 JRPG is still awesome.

yeah but P3P was a downgrade from P3.

but I wish P4G was native res on Vita, the "blurriness" going on kinda hurt.

maybe SEGA can do it right with Digital Devil SAGA 1/2 Golden....

it's an awful games because of all the flaws and mistakes it does, and I don't have to write it again, I already did in this same thread.

Sure people can like many thing, some can like shitty games like Dragon's Crown I get that and I just like to give Vita guys a warning on what I think are bad games (and I post my reasons and why I think the games are awful if one asked me) so they don't waste their money and in the end have a better experience with Vita.

I spent 85 hours with that game and was thrilled to be playing it 90% of the time.
I'm even willing to pick it up and play with EU gamers after I've already gotten the platinum.
The game is fantastic, as far as I'm concerned, and the general reviews and word of mouth seem to be in agreement with me. Sure, some people -- like you -- might not like it. But that doesn't make it a bad game. In fact, it's one of the best brawlers I've ever played.

Hopefully most of the people in here have learned to take your opinions with a grain of salt. Otherwise, they might miss out on one of the best games of 2013.

Keep dreaming Toto.

We're never getting DDS, Nocturne, or Raidou on the Vita. Ever :((((

They are so many games that SCEA hasn't made it available, so I don't believe in that reasoning at all.

That's total BS.

There seem to be a lot of points of failure to contend with. I still don't understand why it is so difficult to get games out on this service.

And I guess I never will?

Own both P4G and DC, and the only thing keeping me from the latter is the former. Love the first, have only played 10 or so hours of DC, but, will definitely return.

The Crash and Spyro games don't work on Vita at all. That's a bit different than SCEA's usual lazyness that sees the games work via PS3 transfer.

oh poop, i guess ill save my $4.50 then.

Some posters say that famousmoritmer claimed it was that Activision refused to allow Crash or Spyro to be played on Vita. I've never seen the original post though.
It definitely doesn't make any sense either, since there's a market for them -- this isn't a Birth By Sleep or Crisis Core issue. And we've seen SCEE go forward and get Konami and Activision (or whomever owns Spyro) to put SotN and Spyro 1-3 on the EU Store and make them Vita compatible.

There's really something weird going on here, as if the "licensing" issues that some claim are really the root cause, that doesn't explain why presumably unlicensed titles like Metal Gear Solid are transferable via PS3 but not available in the Vita store. One would assume if a license was procured, as is the rumoured case here, that the game would be put up on the Vita store and not require a workaround. Then again, the idea makes sense in some ways, since the Vita PSOne compat came out after R-Types and R-Type Delta were removed from the store because of Irem going out of business or whatever. If that's the case, then Irem wouldn't be around to grant the new license.

It should all be taken with a grain of salt though, as games like Mega Man Powered Up were said to not be available in EU or NA because Capcom couldn't get them to work in the emulator for whatever reason.

It's all a giant fiasco of a guessing game.

So what type of game is Malicious Rebirth? Just action? And is it good?

Edit: just watched skyghene's video and he said it was basically just a boss fighting game...meh.

What about Atomic Ninjas?

They're not the only ones though. FFV and MGS: Portable Ops come to mind as both not working on the Vita in the America, but working in the EU.

Temporary sale, according to the blog.
Tempting, but I think I spent enough this month.

Man, I miss the days when I could download a game off PSN without my Vita getting stuck and me having to reboot the thing. I should punish Sony by not buying games until they fix it, but I also know that I love this platform and if I don't buy things, it might go away. It just seems like such a long time to let this issue go on.

Supposedly you just need to hold the direction pad in whatever direction for a while to get it to start again. Haven't tried it myself however.

It's not BS. The games are licensed. Most agree to have their licenses updated to allow the Vita, some don't. The ones that don't won't run on the vita.

Though I do wonder if the games that work via PS3 transfer only are updated and SCEA is lazy... or if that's just a weird workaround for those games for some odd reason.

The Crash games not working in US is just strange, is there like bad blood between them and Activision?

They all work fine on PS3 and could have sworn I played at least one of them on PSP.

Ok, now that I see this from you, I believe more of it.
Do you have any idea, from whatever you may have heard, on why Activision wasn't interested in updating the license agreement?

Does the license shenanigans apply to FFV too? Why leave that one out and approve FFV/FFVII/FFVIII/FFX/FFT/etc.

Again, this would explain why my precious R-Type games are left in limbo... but not quite why something like Blood Omen is.

The license for all PSone games is for the ps3 and psp. So everything worked on those. I don't know the specifics of why Activision doesn't want the games on the Vita... but I was told specifically "We asked them to update the license and they refused." The thing is... different offices handle this stuff in different territories. So EU Activision and and SCEE came to an agreement with no issues at all... but NA Activision and SCEA didn't. Is it bad blood? Is it that NA Activision wants money to do it? I have no clue. I would love to know.

I honestly just assumed that Sony were lazy/dumb and forgot to finish porting over certain games, including those. I was pretty surprised to find out that Activision wouldn't sign off on it.... considering that they have to do zero work and it will sell atleast a few more copies for people who want them on their vita. It makes no sense.

I'd go with workaround. or maybe Sony just let it there so they allow Vita owners to play these games (if they have PS3) and don't get in issues with other publishers.

e.

if publishers really thinks that they can sell PSone games for another separated license fee for people who already got them on PS3 and own a Vita then they are delusional.

I just don't know how it could possibly benefit Activision to NOT have Crash and Spyro on Vita. It honestly DOES NOT MAKE SENSE.

Exactly.

Same goes for ANY publisher with a game already on PSN.
Unless there's some snafu with music licensing (*cough*Crisis Core*cough*), there's no real reason to NOT do it.

Even in that case, license the music long enough to get it on the store. I bet you could make a good chunk of the licensing fees back if not turn a decent profit.

What about Atomic Ninjas?

There should be a demo available for Atomic Ninjas so you can try it out for yourself.
Personally, I rather wait for Samurai Gunn and Towerfall if it gets a Vita release (Playstation port was hinted).

Will spent my money on Worms and probably Malicious: Rebirth tomorrow. Yes, I know I spend too much on new Vita games :(

Anyone got an idea when we will see Dragon's Crown on the store? The release date is the 11th, will it get an own store update?

EDF EDF EDF! (I need help!)

Been thinking of grabbing Super Stardust Delta, but whats the deal with the DLC? is it worth it or should I stick with the main game only?

I want some twin stick goodness, what say you GAF?

If only there was a Vita Geometry Wars...
