I jokingly bet on the last page. Although I could see them doing a character reveal tonight.
First and foremost I was focusing on their older franchises, you know, the one that were featured since the original Smash.
Second neither Animal Crossing nor Wii franchises were viable for Melee. They certainly could've made it to Brawl though.
Having said that, neither of these franchises are character heavy, multiple characters from each introduced in the same game is definitely an overkill. Although I can see Mii making it alongside Wii Fit Trainer.
Since I want ZSS to have her own slot I count her as a separate rep. Also it's not like there are many Metroid characters to choose from, besides Ridley I can only see them adding a Samus clone (SA-X or Dark Samus).
Considering Wario is representing two franchises (not even counting Mario) it's shocking there isn't another character from either WarioWare or Wario Land.

Thats why I put "" in costumes.
I fucking hope he really said custom costumes and not alt, but I still think sadly the alt costumes are still pretty far off. Hope I eat crowd at the end though.
