$800,000

Even better! So soon!
Yes June 2014 in Kickstarter time, which means this will actually release in September.

Question, so say I want this on PS4, but I know I won't own the console for months after getting sent my code. Should it be indefinitely redeemable, as long as it's not been activated all that time?

Something like a 'Wii U' stretched goal, won't that ginormously postpone the release for the other versions of the product?

That's my concern for a lot of these multiplatform goals. I know he's hired more people, but is that realistically enough to keep the intended release date on PS4, Vita and Wii U as well? I know very little about game development, but it seems ambitious to me.

Thanks a lot, Iwata.

:p

Alternately, won't the PS4/Vita release ginormously postpone the release of the PC version of the project? And for that matter, why can't I play it before it's developed? As a backer I demand being able to plug a controller directly into the creator's nostril and play this sucker via telepathy, like, right now! *pouts*

Will the $75 tier include the box and manual?

Confused cuz the add-on info says you'll need to add $35 in other tiers to get it.

Edit: Ah fuck it. Gonna get the alt Drifter. He's a KS only thing. I'll grab the box later if I want it.

The tiers contain exactly what they say they contain on the Kickstarter page. The add-ons are separate, and only there to allow you to add specific items to your order that aren't already covered by the description of your pledge tier.

$800,000?
Seems like it might only barely get to $600k. Its only gone up about $26k in the last 17 hours. This 'late surge' doesn't seem to be occurring.

Not that this is a bad thing. $600k is a huge amount considering he was only really hoping for $27k at the start.

Thanks, guess I'll stick to the $75 tier.

$600K when starting at $27K is 2000% over what was needed for base funding.

One last thread title update?

Hyper Light Drifter [Kickstarter = Funded] Wii U Funded! FINAL 24 HRS

Also, I think it will end around $675k, maybe $700,000. Don't see it doing more than $100k in a day.

Wow. How are they handling developing the game on so many platforms simultaneously? Or will some of the platforms just receive ports?

I pledged for $40 and didn't read I got 2 copies of the game with it until I saw it mentioned in this thread. I just wanted the digital artbook and soundtrack. Guess a friend of mine will now get a copy too!

I just saw this! It looks really good but all my money is tied up until the 15th god damniiiiiiittttttttt :(

Don't know if you guys mentioned this already but, this HAS to be an evangelion easter egg/evangelion inspired enemy right?

See that monster with the three skulls and the orange circle on its chest (near the bats)?

That HAS TO BE this guy:

I'd totally back this if there was a 3DS version...

Have they said if the tiers with multiple keys will include any backer exclusive DLCs (gold pack or alternate drifter) for each key?

I believe it's just for one account. Same with the beta access. Their Facebook account has an updated FAQ as their first post.

Why didn't Heart Machine give us another $50k-100k stretch goal?

Are they out of ideas for what to add? Not that I'm concerned since I know more money means better refinement.

I assume they're just out of ideas at this point. I would have preferred more stuff (loot, areas, mobs, etc) instead of a SNES demake, which is pointless.

This seems like a relatively simple game from a tech POV with its slightly souped up NES/SNES level-ish/style graphics, so getting it to run on multiple current-gen platforms shouldn't be too hard, right? Platforms that can run stuff like Rayman Legends @ native res/1080p@60fps & Killzone Mercenary shouldn't have too much problem running this game, me thinks, meaning they don't necessarily have to spend a huge time just getting this thing running on all of these platforms and they can probably get these to run decently well without too many months required for optimization.

Added $5 to my $10 PC-build tier solely for the OST, because honestly, Disasterpeace's name on the project is what got me to check it out in the first place.
