I'm going to London in December. Who's the best retailer to buy Xbox One from?
And who got the cheapest retailer prices for games?

Personally I would use Amazon and get them to use one of their drop boxes so you can pick it up while you're here. All UK high street retailers are expensive (and shit).

EDIT: That's assuming an Xbox One will fit in a locker ;-)

Doesn't Tesco (for non UK-people: a supermarket chain) have great deals on games on a regular basis?

If you don't have any must play games for the console coming up, then I think it would be a good choice. As the console's trade in value will most likely be halved when the xbox one is released. Plus, if you really wanted an xbox again later on, you could get one again for much less than what you traded it in for.

If you don't want it, why keep it?

All we can do is tell you about all the games you'll be missing out on but if you're not going to play them anyway there's no point in us doing it, and no point in you listening to us! Ditch it, send it to a happier home.

It's not that I didn't want it, it's just that I realised I haven't played it in months whereas my PS3 gets a lot more attention.

Anyway, I pulled the trigger on this today and got £97.40 for trading in my 360, 20 games and a couple of accessories. Spent it towards a £50 Steam voucher and £50 worth of PSN money.

On the subject of PSN, now I have a bunch of PSN credit, can anyone recommend what I should buy? I own a PS3 and a PSVita and I am already on PS+. I don't own The Last Of Us or Beyond Two Souls or Dragon's Crown, but with only £54.58 in my account I can't afford all of those. Or alternatively is there something completely different I should get?

You getting a PS4? Could use it for minecraft, or various indies coming (or to upgrade your driveclub PS+ edition to full edition)

For vita, killzone mercenary is cheaper on the PSN store than it is in GAME

I am getting a PS4 but I don't care about minecraft. I'll give killzone vita some thought.

Anyone else have suggestions?

What's the best price for Pokemon X/Y at the mo? Little sister wants it for her birthday, and I just bought a new TV so don't want to spend more than I need to :P

Probably Amazon at £32(Can probably get a few quid off if you put it through flubit). All the pre-order offers for £27 have ended.

Blimey, were those games all from 2005 or did you just get taken for a ride?

I still don't understand how people keep trading stuff in for next to nothing when they could almost always make a lot more off of selling it on eBay.

If you trade in your games, you get your money (or store credit) immediately. On eBay you might have to wait for a while before someone actually buys your stuff. Also it's a hassle to have to register on eBay if you haven't already, post your games on there, figure out shipping costs, actually ship it, and maybe even have to deal with unsatisfied customers. The time you spent doing all of that might even be more valuable than the money you lose trading in your games. So people might prefer to take that loss for the sake of convenience and speed.

(I've never traded anything in, nor sold anything on eBay, btw)

Anyone jumped on that Dishonored GOTY for £11.16 on Amazon (sold by youwantit-wegotit) that was on HDUK this morning? Thought it had to be a misprice, but someone's had their order already dispatched. :/ The offer expired mid morning, but looking on Amazon now, it's appeared again for the same price. Has to be just the regular version surely?

Also ebay has a great system of if you're new you can't sell more than 5 of the same thing and if it sells for over £50 they keep your money for up to 21 after the buyer confirms they received it. Even the money for P+P which i found out after being flat out broke and not being able to afford the postage costs.

If it is a mislabel, you can always return it. It's a fantastic price, I'd jump on it. Seller also seems to have pretty great feedback too.

Bought Theatrhythm for £11 last year, played enough of it and then sold it on eBay a couple of months back for £20+. Would always use eBay if the game you're selling still holds value, otherwise you might be victim to selling for 99p.

At the very least I'd put it in the trading thread here first. A 360 and 20 (TWENTY!!) games for less than a hundred quid is near criminal, unless they were all FIFA 06. And that was the trade-in price, imagine what he'd have got in cash!

It depends how you do it. If you just blindly trade everything in at Game then sure, you will probably take a fair hit. Some of the time, based on the average sold price and various eBay fees, I'm actually better off trading in. You can just check online for various trade in values. Normally Cex will have better trade in prices, so I go for the price match +£1 option from Game usually and get Steam credit with it. Since it takes ages to use up store credit in there, if you don't like paying more than the going rate for things.

Putting it in the trading thread again requires patience(, a bit of trust in your fellow GAFers) and having to got to the post office and stuff.

Also you don't know what condition all the games were in and if they were indeed FIFA06 rather than whatever interesting games there are on 360. For all we know they could be covered in tomato sauce.

Anyway, trading in is just the easy way out. And if you're swimming in money, but your time is precious, it might be a valid option.

Danj isn't swimming in money, he lives from pay cheque to pay cheque!

PS4 NEWS: The prices of all the bundles on amazon have come down. No idea if it's a mistake, but it's worth having a look because they're veeeeeery attractive now. Maybe there wasn't many people choosing bundles because nobody wanted Killzone.

Not a mistake. They had an announcement up on the page earlier saying the price is being lowered. That's why if you have already picked a bundle they are letting you pick again in case you want to change now that the prices have changed. You don't have to pick again.

Awesome, that camera bundle is amazing now. £80 for a DS4, a camera, and Killzone.

Bundle 5 is gonna disappear pretty quick I bet. I imagine that all of us that want it aren't going to get it.
"Even if customers respond more quickly than others to the survey, the order in which they placed their original PS4 pre-order will determine the order in which we process the bundle choices."

Thank the Lord for that, I ordered on the 28th of May so hopefully am able to get it.

I ordered when they announced the price at E3 like basically everyone did, so I am waaaaay down the queue :(

Well, quite frankly I don't care how Danj (or other people for that matter) spend their money. But, what if he's just stingy, has loads of pounds on his savings account, puts a fixed amount of his wages to his savings every month, and lives off the remainings like a king. That way he could be swimming in money, and still live from pay cheque to pay cheque.

The point is: he's probably too lazy and/or time constrained to not just trade his games in for cheap. ;-)

UK is getting this bundle (elsewhere too I guess but just seen it there so far) http://www.thehut.com/games/console...nd-two-souls-and-the-last-of-us/10861523.html

I want to get it. I take the games and sell the console itself for 250e or more here in my home country. Problem is they would charge me 24% vat and customs if I ordered it.
However I'm going to Poland and Netherlands soon and driving back home from NL so if this bundle is available in NL/Belgium/Germany/Austria/Italy I can get it, but it will probably be 300 eur :\

How does the tax and customs work in EU? If I ordered it from the UK to my friend's house in Netherlands or Poland will they charge me any extra shit when it arrives?
Also any tips for where to look for that bundle in countries I mentioned above? Hopefully it will be 250 but probably 299 :\

No extra charges or taxes as long as it's shipped within the EU.

The PS3 500Gb bundle with Beyond: Two Souls and The Last of Us included is 299 euro here (Belgium). For example at FNAC.

I'm dropping by Belgium too but is it worth waiting for console and hoping it's ok for those 60 eur or just picking it up myself along the way hm. I don't know how long it would take to arrive, if I would even be there to pick it up.

Anywhere I can get the 3DS XL for less than 150 pounds (cheapest I can find it)?

I swear they used to be cheaper than this like 1/2 a year ago, did prices go up or something?

What he said. The amounts I got for all the games were between £1 (Lost Odyssey) and £7 (Metal Gear Solid HD collection). Looking on ebay, that's about what those titles are going for anyway, so it's not unreasonable I think.

My savings account does have loads of pounds in it right now because PS4 is coming up next month. But in the interim there's the Steam Halloween Sale at the end of this month and so I wanted some currency to spend in that.

My order was dated the 11th June, does that mean I won't get it? The one I chose was the KZ+camera+extra DS4 bundle.
