2013 High-Res PC Screenshot Thread of Let the JPEG Die Already

Really nice Bioshock 2 shots. I really should finish the game sometime. For some reason I found it less appealing than the first one and didn't get too far into it, but some of your screens are making me think I should have kept at it.

It's interesting, I'm actually enjoying it far more now on this replay then I did my first time through; so much so that it might actually be my favorite of the 3. I think returning to Rapture so soon after the first game really hampered it, but with some time between then now it's really coming into it's own.

I feel kinda bad about posting 3 in a row. 1440x1920 tends to have a large file size. The whole thing is ruined anyway when I don't have my browser in full width. The 3rd portrait gets knocked down to the next line and just looks silly.

Still, might not be a bad idea to make it official by adding it to the OP if we're decided on allowing it.

Sethos: My BF4 doesn't appear to be that crisp, even with 4xMSAA and Ultra 2560x1440p. Are you using some kind of sharpener, or there an advanced setting or something I'm missing? You set to Ultra across the board ?

His images don't look like they've been sharpened to me. He's likely downsampling from much higher than 1440p with resolution scale turned up as well (supersampling).

i tried all 3 of them and when i put link in my post it just does this

You have to use the image URL.

On Flickr, right click the image and select "Original" size.

Then, right click the image and select "Copy image URL".

Put that URL inside the image tags.

Example:

Also, compressed JPEGs (like this shot above) aren't allowed in this thread. Either upload the original PNG files, or convert the PNG's to a high quality JPEG.

They've definitely fallen off. The load times are heinous on Minus. Definitely not recommended.

I made a GIF a while back showing off the load time differences between Minus and Sta.sh.

Difference.

It's definitely not just me either.

Does Sta.sh force any limitations to non-premium members? I've been using minus as well, but alternatives are always welcome.

I guess I could also put my hosting to use as well. No clue how fast it's though.

Sta.sh non-premium users get 2GB of storage but that's the only limit I know of. If I didn't use it for my huge ass GIF's as well then I'd have tons of space left on Sta.sh.

Ultra across the board, 5120x2880.

Hey guys, I am new to this high res screenshot game. I just moved on to a 2560x1440 monitor and installed a GTX 770. I hope that card is powerful enough to earn me a spot to hang out with you guys.

Here are some shots I took.

You mind telling me what AA you're using in that Resident Evil shot?

Mind sharing which emulator/environment you're using for that?

The thing about the three-in-quotes posts is that the post limit is about page size, not number of images, as far as I know. Someone might otherwise post a bunch of tiny resized images that were all silly huge BMPs, and that would be bad.

Snow looks nice, but I sure am already tired of chromatic aberration (on the rocks in the background if I'm not mistaken). I don't mind the CryEngine 3 look much, aside from that.

More GTA 4 downsampled from 4K with simple ENB. Does it look like there's SMAA in these shots? I had sweetfx on but I'm still seeing jaggies.
