I knew this game would look great when I read that guys from Guerilla didn't believe it was running on the 180 so they guys from Crytek had to open the box to let them see the kit. That's a glowing endorsement if ever there was one!
#Ryse Tons of Diff.Zero downscale.Vast improves and optimizations.Poly optimizations are in invisible parts. All good!
Impressions on this game have been all over the map so I thought I could safely skip it.
Wrong. Wallet am cry![]()
People need to get off this horse. It looks like they're making changes even to the game-play. I think I'd stop bad mouthing it until we see the final product.
Looks pretty sweet. Only thing that worries me is how repetitive it will be, if at all ? Would be good to know more about the mechanics of the game. Can't wait to play it though.
Gears of war all over again?
I have a feeling this will be the X1 "shit just got serious" like the day I played gow for the first time

Sooo... he's no longer wearing his helmet for the siege sequence?
Gotta love them British Romans
I noticed that too. Neat change. Looks like he gives the speech then dons the helmet.
Definitely a showcase game.
This cracked me up.
Has to be a joke.
I thought XB1 was a weak system - that is a launch title looking like that. I see some people nit picking shadows and clothing - I mean really, is that the point we are at now? I dont have any interest in the game and im not an eye candy whore but that looks impressive.
Cutscenes looks great but I'm still not convinced graphics holds up in that well gameplay. With Watch Dogs out of the picture I might end up buying Ryse to play in my brother's Xbox One (depending on reviews/impressions).
The dialogue is so goddamn awful.
"I promise i will give you as much as you can handle."
Though there is validity here you just pretended like you have some kind of monopoly on fun and what it means. There are AMAZING games recently from huge developers that have a ton of QTE's and are great, fun, amazing experiences. Then again since the execution is the only QTE in the battles it actually doesn't 100% apply. If that argument held you could say that Batman was not or could not be considered fun.Why has everyone let visuals be their deciding factor with a game today? That's what the gaming community has become, people form the Xbox One community vs the PS4 community going at each other as to who has the visually better game, WHO CARES!?!?! So as long as the game is fun and engaging (and not in terms of bashing buttons for QTEs) that should be the deciding factor as to what makes a game good. I dunno if old gamers lost their ways or if new gamers just judge games differently. But I can't see myself buying a shit game just because it's visually gorgeous, it's like a gimmick. It's like buying the 3DS at its launch when it had shit games, BUT 3D!!!! Who cares? The games weren't there yet.
