OHHH! so cheating off the field is ok, but on the field it's not right? I see. *rolls eyes*

:lol

I never said that... but yes guess what there is a difference. I have no clue what you are referring too, but I do not equate the aquistion of a coach equal to someone spying on another teams plays during a football game. That effects the integrity of the game you are playing, the other example is just job hiring, who cares. Its a terrible analogy, just terrible.

But forget that, my point is that there is a generational gap between us and Shula. I think most of us here dont see the whole spy gate an issue cause I think everyone is doing something like it. Shula is old school, when he sees something like that come out I bet it does shock him. In his opinion he fells that is wrong and I do think he sees it that way just cause the Pats look to be going undefeated like so many of you are trying to make it seem. He just has an old school view of football, he was not the only one calling for Belichick's head.

Man, I can't wait for bionic to get back from the Jersey swamp. He got to see the Steelers lose to the Jets in person, and Lord Brady is well on his way to killing another adversary.
That was Spectral that went to Jersey.

And the Steelers obviously don't have the talent to compete with the Pats on a level playing field. Ben got sacked 7 times against a shitty Jets team. You can't win a SB without a good O-line. Maybe we should have kept Grim.

There are only two chances for victory against evil, both of which I condone.

The first involves Kimo putting on a Steelers uniform and sweeping Brady's legs.

The second involves divine intervention.

Unless Kimo or God get involved it is going to get very ugly in Foxboro and worse in the playoffs.

I hope the 2007 Dolphins go 0-16. At least it will give their fans something else to brag about for the next 35 years and will tie in nicely for the dubious distinction with the 1972 team...

I say it after every Pats game... you may as well not even play if you're not going to do everything you can do get pressure on Brady.

If I were a defensive coordinator set to play the Pats, I'd come up with insane Dr. Demento defenses to take them on. Standard, vanilla D? It's been very effective this year, hasn't it. The Colts, the one team to get pressure on them, are the only team to have had any significant effect.

EDIT:

There's a record that really could stand the test of time -- the only team to ever have both an undefeated season and a winless season.

Bitter much. :lol

Ugggh, got back about an hour or so ago from the suck-fest in the swamp. Yuck. Um, that's it, Steelers are not beating the Pats. So I hope we can put that idea to rest. They have no Oline and no running game. It's done. Parker's early rushing lead in the league was a mirage. And another thing, Arians has got to get it into to Ben's head that it's ok to throw to your check downs. He's standing there all day long hoping for the deep guy to come open, and some days it ain't happening, like today. And, Tomlin has got to get Arians to throw out the shitty play calling. On the defensive side, somebody needs to teach Polamalu how to tackle. He has to lead the league this year in tackles missed. Otherwise, everything's just fantastic. The only cool thing about today was the amount of Steeler fans in attendance. It pissed a lot of Jet fans off, but who cares.

What the fuck? Two of you Steeler fans went to the game? Ya'll didn't get togeteher for drinking and commisserating?:lol

This is correct. If I'm an opposing DC, I'm sending everything on every play to try and knock Dreamboat down. What's he gonna do if you can't hit him.... toss a TD pass? And that's different how?

Thankfully, the NFL is full of fucking stupid coaches.

No, I was mistaken and thought it was bionic that went when it was in fact spectralglider.

The Pats fans around here aren't thankful enough for whats going on. Could you guys fucking imagine how things would be in GAF NFL threads if the 07 49ers were 10-0 and averaging 45 points a game?

I would post a fucking picture of my ball-sack everytime we scored a TD..

I think most of us here dont see the whole spy gate an issue cause I think everyone is doing something like it.

i don't understand this rationalization at all. That's the equivalent of saying steroids aren't ruining the integrity of baseball because everyone is doing something like it. The only problem with this comparison is baseball didn't seem to view taking steroids as a punishable violation for a long time, while the NFL took a franchises first round pick away for something you don't view as an issue.

Tecmo needs to release another Tecmo Bowl for the NES so we could put up some insane stats with the Pats...

Well they aren't called the No Fun League without a reason...

I dunno if anybody else here went, but we had Steeler fans to both sides of us, directly behind us and a few in the row in front of us. Hell, the one corner of the other endzone was practically all Steeler fans. It was pretty funny. There was a lot of good natured ribbing going on back and forth with the Jet fans. But, two or three fights did break out from the few waste case's that indulged in too much of the spirits. I did like the Jet cheerleaders or, the Flight Crew as they call them. But man, whenever they tear Giants stadium down, it won't be soon enough. What a mess that place is.

You guys made a lot of noise. I was watching the broadcast and it almost sounded like a home game for you guys. Whenever you guys would make a good play or get a bad call.

All you guys countering the running up the score thing with "if you want to stop them, play some defense" need to realize something. Alot of the teams the patriots are facing don't have the personnel to stop Randy Moss, Dante Stallworth, Lawrence Moorney, and Tom Brady. That just don't.

Just a nugget for you guys to chew on, for the rest of the year, the Pats play TWO teams that have winning records. TWO. The rest are pretty below .500, including the dolphins at 0-10. Who in the world gave the Pats such a breezy schedule?

Well is not the Pats fault that the team were suppose good actually suck this season.

I was taking anything away from how well they have played, I was just saying, it's crazy how easy it is.

the thing is they are beatable, and indy showed how to do it. keep pressure on brady. now most teams dont have the defense too consistently rush through that line but most teams haven't tried to continuously blitz that offense in different packages.

including the dolphins at 0-10. Who in the world gave the Pats such a breezy schedule?

beware of us winless teams late in the season :D .

in all seriousness the team with the best shot of defeating the pats is the giants. their defensive line can continuously keep brady on the move, and their offense is capable of putting up some numbers.

It all depends how the Pats want to approach the game. If they want to continue going 19-0 then they would play everyone and will probably beat them. If they decide that the Super Bowl is more important then Brady will sit and the Giants will probably win.

they have the best shot of all the teams remaining to take them down, and i'm sure that they will want the record badly. dolphins are in their division and it's the one thing we always go back to whenever any bostonian brings up patriots and the post season. plus, boston sports have a whole lot of pride. also the way they've been running up scores it seems they want to break records this year.

but that aside, giants should be playing for wild card at that point and they can expose the one weakness the patriots offense has. Indy exposed this weakness but peyton decided not to play like peyton in the second half. giants d-line can get to brady and stop that offense, the test will be on eli and plaxico against the pats defense.

Thankfully they aren't and at their current rate we might see your sack once every 3-4 games.

holy shit. on that punt return by the packers, how did the packers not get called for the holding on the kicker?

and why weren't field goals reviewable in the first place? the nfl is retarded

The reasoning for field goals the way I understand it is that they don't want kicks reviewed that go over the posts because it would be to difficult to do so or something like that.

oh sweet titties can you imagine if the niners dynasty was taking place now with the internets around? i would be talking so much shit and lovin' it all night long! then *I* could be the one saying "oh boo hoo wah wah wah the refs screwed us! hey buddy, good teams overcome penalties! look at us!"

but as it is, i am a broken man and we are a shadow of what we once were. whereas before a playoff trip and nothing less was exciting, i now find myself just hoping to be in a game :(

one day we will rise like the phoenix again my niner brothers.... one day!

Win or lose, almost every Browns game has been a lot of fun to watch. I used to just tape the games and fast forward through it all in 15 minutes. Now, I sit home and watch the whole thing.

God bless parity .. god bless easy schedules for shitty teams (the year previous).

Holy smokes, TO got me 41.30 fantasy points by himself.

And my team was totally like the Patriots. Running the ball is for pussies. (Marshawn was out and I didn't sub a scrub in in time and Frank Gore's stats are shite because the Niners are shite.)

Heh, exactly. The only reason the Browns are 6-4 is because they play the NFC West and the AFC East who with the exception of the Patriots are freaking horrible. Not to mention that the AFC North isn't exactly stellar this season. I think the Browns need to look for a new Defensive Coordinator next season, it's retarded how often the Browns let teams come back.

The Giants aren't beating the Pats if the Pats choose to play ball. Sucks, but it is true.

You have to believe man. If the old geezers we have in the secondary can hold up we could beat them.

I think it strictly comes down to D-line play. We can not pressure any team in the NFL. Look at the Steelers .. they have a sub-standard O-line for pass protection and we were unable to do anything against them. Look at the St. Louis game .. another crappy O-line where we couldn't do anything.

Much like we were able to revamp the O-line in the past off-season (thank god for Steinbach and Joe Thomas), we need to do the same for the D-line next year. I think when we do that .. the entire D will gel. I like our corner backs .. they are just spread too thin.

Something has to give here. This Pats team is destroying 20 years worth of football logic within me. If they keep pace you're telling me that under one team in one fuckin year you'll have:

1.The All-Time single season passing TD record holder
2.The all-time highest single season QB Rating
3.The best TD:INT ratio in league history
3.The all-time recieving TD record holder
4.The most points scored by any team ever
5. The most yards gained by any team ever
6. The first team ever to go 19-0 in a single season
7. The all-time recieving yardage record holder

They HAVE to hit a wall at some point right???.....Right!?.......RIGHT!!!!

Yeah, I was doing comparisons of how each player was doing to see if I had a chance against you without even noticing you had TO.....yeah you slaughtered me.

Man MJD blew Merroidman up. What's going on with Merroidman btw? He doesn't seem nearly as dominant this season now that he is
off of the steroids.

It will be sad if Cam Cameron has to wait until next season to get his first win...

On the Pukes vs Skins.

Pukes - WTF happened? I was setting myself up for a skins vs pats type game. Just goes to show you that in the NFC things aren't really going to be clear til the last 2 weeks of the season.

Skins - FINALLY letting JC run our offense...felt so good but at the same time you could tell that JC was a first year starting QB but a quality one. Had we had ST we would not have given up so many TD's to TO...so the PUKES got away with one.

I can see the skins going 5-1 with our only loss really going to the Gnats at their home, putting us at 10-6 with a good chance to make a wildcard...but at the same time we need plenty of help from other teams.

Even though we lost I think this can be victory for us skins fan because we know we have a "good" QB who can be a great QB.

BUCS HERE WE COME....hopefully we win but recent games against the bucs have been really close....
