They arent and fidelity of characters and their gestures/expression is exactly the same ingame.
tell me moreMost of the game looks amazing graphically but why do the blood splatter effects look like shitty PS2 sprites?
Killzone and Ryse look so far ahead of all the other games launching its crazy. Two very talented tech teams at work. Going to look awesome on my W900.

But how exactly can you tell? In God of War 3 I didn't find out that some were pre-recorded until I actually played the game.@Kinyou

Yeah because the whole, all your family was killed story line started with God of War.
Is every Roman & Greek game from now on going to be considered a God of War clone?
What about Gladiator? A God of War clone movie that came out five years before the first God of War?
God of War? What looks like GoW to you? Outside of it being based on a Roman aesthetic and time period nothing is jumping out as GOW to me.
WTFFFFF......is this from GTTV's SP footage? I promised myself not to watch....

Yeah. The preview looked very impressive, the horrible compression expected.
Love this part.

no big spoilers though... yet the video quality of the player makes the frame rate of the whole episode terrible and the quality of the stream dipsWTFFFFF......is this from GTTV's SP footage? I promised myself not to watch....

I agree. It's rare to see realistic yelling in games. Their mouth are usually barely moving, but sounds levels imply 100dB.the expression in this game are quite impressive.... really impressed

they are doing previews today... so I'm guessing we will get stable footage at the end of today
The trailer is up on Microsoft's media assets page to download.

You probably mean 231mb?
Yes, I edited the wrong information out. These shots are at 1080p from the video hosted on there. Hm.

Oh man, I wish that was what next gen looked like. Always remember to add heaps of aliasing in your mind when viewing these things.

I'm curious about this for Ryse, actually. Apparently some kind of AA is added when the game is scaled from 900p to 1080p, so maybe that would explain the soft and cinematic look the game has. I'd prefer this over jaggies everywhere.
Sadly there will still be jaggies everywhere. Certainly was when I played it. I can pray for some kind of additional AA added before launch, but there's no hope of it being as good as in these images.

Yeah, that was an old multiplayer build and possibly pre-up-clock. I also wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the jaggies everywhere have to do with poorly calibrated televisions. Of course I'm prepared for the worst considering the game is launch title, but post-processing forms of AA are very cheap and should suffice for those playing at a normal television distance.

Agreed. That kind of anti-aliasing is unrealistic.
Anyway, these are from what seemed like the gameplay portion of the trailer.

Holy shit, KZ is looking stunning.
I still can't believe it, these are launch titles. Launch titles. I wasn't expecting to see this level of visuals at launch. Throw in NBA 2k14 and we've got one hell of an impressive launch line up in terms of showing off what the consoles can already achieve.
