RUMOUR: Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts is 720p, PS4 version is 1080p?

November 13 NPD thread should be boring. Of course PS4 is going to massacre Xbox One's numbers... earlier release, much higher initial system allotment, higher pre-order numbers.

Oh man if this is true I might have to go with ps4. I have money saved for an x1 and I won a ps4 from Taco Bell. I might just put the x1 money torwards a new tv. If a launch game that isn't very graphically impressive is only 720p I can't image how the x1 will handle third party titles in a few years. Also, kind of odd how we haven't heard from Albert yet...

It wouldn't be a big deal if both consoles were going to be 720p. But one of them being at 720p for $500 while the other is at 1080p for $400, it kind of makes it a bigger deal.

PS4 pre-order becoming more justified by the day. I'm not a huge resolution whore (I only upgraded from a 720p to 1080p TV last year) so the fact of 720p vs 1080p alone isn't what makes this bad for me. The problem is if Xb1 can't run fucking COD in 1080p then it's going to get real ugly 2-3 years into this gen...
Nothing, but I was expecting it to be over 720p at least..cause its titanfall. Even if its just 720p, its gonna be technically ahead of codG...I dunno, if we dont hear any other devs leak comments about buggy OS with crashes or whatever they said, then IW has to at least be given a little of the old stink eye.
Maybe the silver lining is that now they will spend all that money on a new engine.

Well, it's not necessarily a big deal. But obviously, tech is important to many enthusiasts. And obviously, this does have implications in regards to the tech wars, even if those implications obviously wouldn't be definitive (and this is just a rumor anyway).

Because this news combined with the internet is really REALLY funny.
Bad tech news is always good news as far as I'm concerned, somebody screws up, jokes are made, somebody else picks up the ball and runs with it and all is made well, nobody is hurt, unless you're sympathetic to multi-million dollar corporations.

I believe they can match the ps4 in terms of power if they stick to 720 while ps4 is 1080.

Yep, I really want to play it as well. But not with these issues and not at 500 fucking dollars. It can definitely wait.
They better do some Dewritos crunching then. Actually, I'm not even sure if that's possible considering Collar Duty is meant to come out on November the 5th. They have to go Gold before disc can be pressed.
