No next gen system will have 4k for games lol
what the hell kind of fucked up console costs 500 dollars in 2013 and can't run a goddamn source game @ 1080p
everyone playing it says its game of the show, does it matter?
Source?
wow, poor xb3 only owners, i feel bad for them.

Widespread 1080 yesWe'll finally get native 1080p for all console games in like, 9 years, right? ):
Ugh, no way. It's made the forum damn near unbearable.I've been waiting 2 years for this. New console insanity on GAF is fantastic entertainment.
Xbone will still look better than 360.
so if $500 is too much get it on 360 or PC.Of course, it's a really fun looking game, it's a very good thing that the entry point isn't $500 for it, its saving grace is that it's also on 360 and PC.

Uh, uh, now, eventually you do plan to have 1080p games... on your, on your 1080p console, right? Hello? H-Hello. Yes?
You say that like being superior to a near eight year old system is a notable achievement.

Should have gone with the XBOX 720 name at this point lulz.
To bad its not a PC only release, I want to use all my pc power :/Me too. Having to play that game that got all those awards and praise from gamers is going to suck for them.
Don Mattrick has to be glad he got the hell out of this shit storm before the
RMS TitanicXbone totally sank.
This is why I don't think Albert should respond to stuff here. I doubt cboat would have posted if he hadn't, and if he hadn't this thread probably wouldn't exist. This is actually perfect since that's exactly what happened
mortimer was all "I have to confirm a source"; he never could. Two other insiders decide to confirm it out loud. Then Albert posts in that topic; then cboat rebuffs him. Now this Titanfall news is all over the place
this could not have worked out more poorly for the good people who just want to get the Xbox One out launched already without any more issues...
gaf is on fire today, what about the pc version?

lol this is a silly question
As much as I'm enjoying the drama tonight - and I am, these boards are amazing sometimes - as usual GAF is vastly overestimating the impact of resolution on the average consumer. Brand loyalty will be powerful with casual XBO fans, of whichever there are many.
Now marketing problems + launch OS stability issues + rushed hardware is another story. That could be an actual problem, and much more worthy of the megaton news that the 720p'ness (lol) is getting. If XBO is gonna have a problem with these things, I'd reckon the pattern would be very strong upfront sales and rapid taper off due to negative word of mouth from those issues.
So did you just steal this from the other thread or are you the person that posted it in the other thread?
If you're the latter that's cool, but if its the former, ehhhh
Not that COD or Titanfall look that impressive but... I'd rather have an amazing looking 720p/900p game than an ok looking 1080p game. Resolution doesn't mean everything, certainly not with videos either, netflix 1080p doesn't hold a candle to blu-rays at 720p.
Imagine Crysis 3 at Low on 1080p vs Ultra at 720p. Obviously if you could have Ultra at 1080p that would be preferable and if PS4 did that, it would be the superior version. However, I think everyone needs to stop complaining so much about devs shooting for lower than 1080p (specifically for both versions), there are tradeoffs that need to be made in order to hit that.
Eh, upscaling IS getting better and better, nevermind blu-rays are 1080p.Man, fuck getting a 1080p tv in the future.
I'll just use my monitor for games that I can confirm are 1080p capable.

I kinda am because titanfall looks really dated and it seemed like one of the few games that for sure would be 1080.Who is surprised? Really?
