XBOne Version of NBA 2K14 Missing From Blowout Press Event, Confirmed Native 1080p/60

I've seen a Call of Duty advert that slapped the Xbox One logo right at the end, not a whiff of "also coming to playstation" anywhere.

Nvm, I was talking about NBA 2K14.

With that tweet, I definitely think this is just the marketing arrangement they have with Sony. GTA, WWE, and now this

The denial from posters like blurredvision and giantsx6 is staggering. We just came off of a thread about why CoD:DoG wasn't being shown for the Xbox One, and your first response is that it can't possibly be a similar situation? I've never seen such a one-sided distribution of game footage before, even at trade shows. The Xbox One's absence from damn near every event should be telling, even if this ends up false.

Read the writing on the wall, guys, and stop trying to Baghdad Bob every piece of bad Xbox One news. Especially after confirmed leakers directly refute your statements.

You can still buy the Xbox One--I know I am! But there's no need for you to valiantly defend Microsoft's honor at every turn (especially when they obviously done goofed).

Have a feeling we are going to start hearing of delays soon for Xbox One versions

Possibly, or they will just release them as is in all their 720p glory, and hope the general population won't notice. That's probably more likely. Not sending out xbone copies to reviewers and such.

In the couple months I've been on this forum I've gone from being relatively excited to upgrade to an XB1 to being completely deflated and uninterested in keeping either of my next gen pre-orders anymore.
Excellent work GAF, I hate video games.

It isn't GAF's fault MS fucked up. You're placing the blame in the wrong place.

I'm actually pretty excited this is 1080p 60 fps.

The only other games I can think that are doing this on an AAA level is Forza and Killzone Multiplayer.

So, are you saying we should never discuss differences in multiplatform titles this upcoming generation? Because that's not how things work around here. Just like PS3 constantly took its lumps for having worse ports of multiplatform games, this forum will provide plenty of thread-based lumps to XBO.

Every Digital Foundry article for a major release will be a long thread.

You sound like a bitter hateful Sony fanboy.

And there is a big difference between discussing the differences in multi platform titles, and threads like this, but continue to keep your thumbs in your ears and yelling neener neener at folks who plan on buying an Xbox one. That'll accomplish...nothing.

Nice to know the XB1 version is 1080/60 but I'm still picking it up on PS4 because I refuse to wait a week for the goodness that is 2k basketball!

I'm not saying that it isn't possible that the PS4 version looks better -- all I'm saying is that people shouldn't jump to conclusions based on what console version is shown since there may be multiple reasons for it.

do you get dizzy from all this?

People who think this is beating a dead horse are wrong. There is nothing wrong about being informed about a potential $500 purchase that will be with you and you a part of it's ecosystem for the coming years.

Precisely. As it stands, $500 for this system is madness if you are primarily buying it for gaming. Sure, it has some exclusives I want, but not at that price and when the PS4 is flat out more powerful and is $100 cheaper.

More like MS are being lazy bout' marketing

That is also true. But Sony is no slouch. Those football ads aren't cheap. I'm not sure where the "Sony has no money for marketing" idea is coming from.

So why did they not show it if it is 1080p 60fps? (Honest question)
Good to get that confirmation, but, the question remains: why isn't it there?

I'd bet so much on the idea that this particular situation is just marketing. IDK about NFS and all the others, but I'm pretty sure this is.

I'm extremely curious to find out why the XB1 versions aren't being shown. Unfortunately I can't think of many positive reasons that would explain it.

So why did they not show it if it is 1080p 60fps? (Honest question)

Probably because it looks worse, whether that means worse lighting, antialiasing, worse cloth physics, etc. etc.

Similar to how the Xbox 360 was treated this gen, they're showing the best version of the game that they have right now.

In my opinion. So that's clear.

My point stands if true then. Not smart to jump to conclusions based on what console version is being shown at an event.

You might wanna leave these topics then or wait until something more official is stated.
I literally see you in every thread that blew up.

No one is forcing you or anybody else to read the whole process each time.
