Episode 13

Good start to the "season" - basically picked right up, as it should have... which is something I honestly wasn't expecting considering Sunrise and the things they like to do. More of the show's mysteries have been unveiled as well and I have a feeling a certain relationship might bloom between two of the main characters...

The king is back, BEAST HIGH, etc.

I have to say though, I'm extremely impressed with the pacing of the episode. It was bookended with two cool action scenes to create excitement, and managed to catch up with everyone's situation after the brief timeskip, without making it feel rushed. From Cain and Mirko's shenanigans, to the pretty Dorssia badguys, to Haruto's "angst" (lol) that pervades the second half of the episode. All without stumbling into the plot points, and they even squeezed in some foreshadowing with the last scene!

Good stuff.

Holy hell. The design. Lolololol. Can't stop laughing. :(

At this point I'm thinking that it will transform into something, sooner or later, because why not?

I do think the claws/fists are pretty cool. The rest...well, it'll be interesting to see in action at least.

Episode 13

Man, it feels great to have this show back. Coming back without missing a beat is quite impressive. Episode itself gave answers instead of questions, for once. That's great. The whole "information particle" thing is absolutely hilariously goofy. It's such a dumb sci-fi concept that doesn't deserve the level of execution. Love the explanation for Haruto's fits. Interested to see where it goes. My main question right now is how do Haruto's attacks effect the victims over time? Is there some bodily harm he's doing by absorbing these particles? Is L-Elf really sacrificing anything by being Haruto's gas tank? I assume so, but hope we get a definitive answer soon.

Overall, surprising lack of VVV zaniness in this episode. Beast High stuff is great, but that was really the only goofy part. Probably because they had so much to get through. Wonder how much the dumb sponsorship will play a role beyond this episode?.

Best part of this episode is the reveal of the "children of Valvrave". So glad the bad guys are going to get some competent units. Should make the battles way more interesting now that the VVVs will have some real competition.

Man, this series is everything that Geass aspired to be. When people describe what they liked about that show, this is the vision I came up with. So glad to see someone really pull it off completely. Hope the show sticks the landing. Off to a great start to the second half.

So at least unit 1 is getting a gundam style second season upgrade. Good. Love how extreme it is as well. Man, season two is going to be fantastic.

AWW YISS IT'S VALVRAVIN' TIME.

Did any of the companies pick season 2 up for simulcast? I seem to recall hearing in season 1 the simulcasts were uncensored while the Japanese TV-sourced fansubs were not.

Crunchyroll and Hulu...and this time subtitles can be turned off and no more aniplex watermark.

Episode 13 – A Cursed Bond

Oh yes its finally back and actually delivered on one of the things I wanted to happen first half. It may have taken 13 episodes but it was well worth it in the end. Truly whoever penned this series knows exactly what I want and really makes this the de facto contemporary mecha anime.
Still using the school as a base, combined with great mecha action, a bit of budding friendship and extremely close ties, to know fully canon EruHaru action for permanent, wow (also showing how strong L-elfs energy is if its able to excite Haruto enough to powerup every single unit at once
Best episode one premiere thus far this season. And the bonus ED shots of L elf and Haurto!

I hope that ending moment at least means, Q-vier, H-neun, X-eins, and A-drei will get some powerup boost now and also become the same type as everyone else to give them a winning edge now without it being fully reliant on just more technological prowess (those electromagnets of season 1 for example.
.

I just started watching this again after watching the first 3 episodes back when it first started. Caught up pretty much today.

I like how there are so many mechanics that we just don't know how they work completely and that that information is only trickling out to us.

Also, episode 11 was weeiiiiiiiiird.

Episode 14

Fantastic episode! All about Akira! Best girl! <3 Marie was there too! Second best girl! So good! The entire back story subplot allowed them to stretch the entire re-entry plot for an entire episode without it being boring. I love the Dorssian intrigue they're starting to show too. Hope it all starts to come together soon, because the show's at its best when lots of things are happenig at once and its just crazy.

Episode 14 – Siblings of the Atmosphere

Well the backstory was alright , but was more interested in current events. Seeing whats happening in Dorssia was a nice change of pace at least, H-neun is one great character and his voice, he really deserves way more lines than given but otherwise, horseback riding A-drei, gamer Q-vier were fun to see.

I liked the entry plot, wont regurgitate that which happened but
kind of funny that the one girl used Haruto to compel L-elf to action saying how he needed him

OH and the song at the end was amazing, especially the vocal portion just before it was ending.

Valvrave 14:

The relative normalcy of the episode was a welcome surprise and the mecha action was more or less alright. I did find the Familiar pretty cool though.

Not that I dislike all the crazy things Valvrave throws at us, but it's good to develop the cast in the process of setting up for the inevitable plot twists.

You know, a reconnaissance-in-force mission is all well and good, but sending what amounts to the entire JIOR military, plus a good chunk of the civilian leadership, seems very risky. I wonder that L-Elf didn't try to hold something in reserve; and whether he has some secret agenda on the surface that he thinks will require all the Valvraves.

this show man

Crazy.

Haruto really fucking annoys me sometime though.
L-Elf plots this crazy plan, involves combat. Oh I'll just casually go talk to this chick in the middle of the damn mission.

also
Marie
:O

The new episode (ep 3? The one that's out today)

Just WAT
Marie possibly a previous Valvrave pilot? L-elf trigger happy as usual. Immortality for every one in the future? L-elf/Haruto's love child is king?

I need to lie down ._.

Episode 15

VALVRAVE THE CRAZY TOWN IS BACK!

So I guess Marie is the "first" of their kind - Magius born from Valvraves. Probably a test run 5 years ago? It's going to be interesting to see what she does next week. If L-Elf's actions triggered her memories to return, we could be getting much more info. Probably none of it will be good news, since nothing in VVV is good news. Lol.

Can't believe Saki ended up with Satomi, I guess they're both manipulative dicks, so maybe they deserve each other!

The new ED is pretty sweet. Lots of nice imagery there.

I wish I could just marathon through the 2nd season :/

BTW is the 2nd season also the ending to the series? Or is there gonna be another break like before?

Episode 15

The insanity is back.

First two episodes back were fairly tame by previous episode standards, but it looks like the crazy is about to hit the fan.

That opening (
L-Elf/Haruto child
) and closing (
BAM!!!
) were crazy. L-Elf continues to be a badass even when
kids are involved
.

But what was up with Haruto
just freely answering Marie's questions
?
