Man, this week might have killed checking updates for a while. I just can't get excited to see another sakurai troll screenshot every night. Maybe a couple weeks away would do me some good, I can come back to something new (or not) and try to get hyped again
There is honestly no good reason to check this thread daily unless you're interested in the witty banter and hilarious memes. If literally anything of note gets announced, there will be a new thread made instantly.

The daily screenshots are not the Dojo and people really should not hype them self up so much because of them. It is smart from Nintendo not to recreate it, since it kind of made Brawl worst for many people. Not in way of spoiling the game and much more about creating expectations, the game could never reach. Playing it down this time, is a good choice.
Agreed. Plus we already have our character for the month (Sonic). I expected a Pokemon character reveal due to the XY release but oh well, that would make Sakurai too predictable

Yup. And what's funny is that not all the Lost World reviews even ARE mediocre. There are quite a few positive to very positive ones too. Either way, though, I agree with you about Generations and Colors -- they're two shining examples of why I don't listen to reviews and why, when I publish my own or people ask me about my opinion on a game, I make sure to qualify it with my own personal tastes and biases so as not to mislead them when they might actually enjoy something I don't.
I've got my copy of Lost World (Wii U) pre-ordered at a local independent game shop. Can't wait. I REALLY liked what I played of it at E3, and I played every stage in the demo several times.
I think I may be going blackout on this game from now on.
I mean, it's not like it's any different on checking the daily pic everyday. If I ignore it completely I won't suffer from not having any news and I will be actually surprised when I find out about the game while playing.

I followed the Dojo updates like a fiend every single day like you guys are now with these daily images. It tainted my Brawl experience; nothing felt fresh or new anymore to me.
Some of you have become bitter and entitled regarding these images and I sure as hell hope it's some kind of irony joke or an in-joke between you guys. If it is, please let me know. Seeing your reactions to these images constantly deflates my hype and makes me regret opening this thread. It's why I rarely even post here. Most of my posts here have been negative and I apologize for that, but I wasn't expecting SmashGAF to be like this at all. Sure hope it's different near release so I can feel inclined to join the hype.

That's right. We are being fortunately enough to get images from Sakurai for those pictures.
No offense, but it sound like you are entitled gamer who expected new information about weekly. Sakurai specially told us that we shouldn't expect a lot of new information from daily images if I remembered it correctly. Also I'm pretty sure that Sakurai don't want to do Dojo because he don't want us to know too much about the game before we play the game since I'm pretty sure that he read the backlashes from Japanese that they know too much before the game got released so as the result, they were disappointed with the contents and surprise when they unlocked everything. I think we wouldn't get spoiled that much for Smash 4 since I have a feeling that Sakurai learned his lessons this time with Brawl Dojo.
I'm pleased with this week's images despite there are no information but they are fun to look at.
Well, most of time we are being hypeboles or being joking with other friends. Some people think it's funny to be negative like Afoni.

Agreed. It's your own fault if you let the hype from recent reveals/teases warp you into thinking this is more than what was stated (I'm also at fault....). Being a Dojo was never the point. Considering we likely have a little over a year left of waiting, keeping the hype to a minimum currently is the right way to go. The fact that we're getting ANYTHING at this point (compared to Brawl) is fortunate for us.

Anyway, I expected that we wouldn't get any character since I heard a rumor about Direct might happening anytime before Oct 31. We will see how reliable those rumor is.
Also I think the reason with why we haven't seen pokemon characters yet is that they might not be done with their models or movesets. We have to wait for awhile until we see them.
