Better question where is the 10 bucks he still owes to a gaffer?Aegis, where is your secret souce now?
Abortions confirmed for launch.xb1 must have an embryo on reviews.
Maybe the embargo date is related to the release date, and Xbone release date is a week behind.
Edit: Haha beaten
It's really terrible news.Fuck, when Arthur Gies, the guy who defended shit like Sim City's forced DRM, says something is shitty then it must be bad.
At this point the XB1 is a Cracker Jack box. Nobody knows what the "toy surprise" is until you buy it.
Why would Arthur say that's stupid? He should be used to embargos, right?
"I know so much stuff you don't. Wouldn't you love to know all of this information I know?"
It's really terrible news.
PS4 is better.
Yeah, I am getting both and am holding off on all multi-plat stuff until the face-offs come out.
Initially"the absence of xbox one reviews initially has little or nothing to do with sony, power differences, or co-marketing." - https://twitter.com/aegies/status/393788500379594752
"anyway. there's not much in the way of conspiracy. not right now, anyway. who knows what the future holds!" - https://twitter.com/aegies/status/393789093009563648
Anyway, these tweets are pointless if he's not actually going to say anything.
So, platform differences.

Arthur just loves saying stuff that he isn't allowed to fully explain.

Arthur said:...the absence of xbox one reviews initially has little or nothing to do with sony, power differences, or co-marketing.
Even if folks are used to them, they're still pretty stupid if they want people to wait until right before to run them. At this point, it really would be in MS's best interest to keep to review until later. It's not like they can sell more right now, but they could lose pre-orders, and people will just assume everything is in parity if they read a PS4 review. I assume Sony's willingness to allow the reviews just means they are confident.
Then again, it could be wholly different reason. I'm just saying why I think embargoes still seem like a logical conclusion.
This sort of thing from game journalists is really irritating and highly unprofessional. I'm sure the reason they can't release the information isn't on them, but the teasing is senseless.
In every box there is a "toy surprise inside" - you don't know what you are getting. The lack of 3rd party info on XB1 games is concerning a bit. What is this even supposed to mean?
I assume Microsoft has an embargo on reviewing any Xbox One games until launch.
I'm assuming because the day one firmware patch to allow games to be played on XB1 isn't ready yet.
‏@aegies anyway. i wouldn't worry too too much. you'll have reviews for *most* PS4 and xbox one launch stuff before either console launches, i think.
How is that "stupid" in any way?THIS.
Isn't MS launch a week behind so all their reviews should be a week behind as well?

Here's sort of the whole list of tweets. He seems annoyed, but won't come out and say it.
Has Arthur Gies ever been right about anything?![]()
I wonder why?
Looking forward to Knack and Killzone reviews.

Maybe due to console availability, not all reviewers have X1 systems
Has Arthur Gies ever been right about anything?
perhaps someone stepped on the xbox one review unit, and it no longer functions.
