"Lots of PS4 game reviews coming in the next two weeks but not Xbone"

Why would Arthur say that's stupid? He should be used to embargos, right?

Even if folks are used to them, they're still pretty stupid if they want people to wait until right before to run them. At this point, it really would be in MS's best interest to keep to review until later. It's not like they can sell more right now, but they could lose pre-orders, and people will just assume everything is in parity if they read a PS4 review. I assume Sony's willingness to allow the reviews just means they are confident.

Then again, it could be wholly different reason. I'm just saying why I think embargoes still seem like a logical conclusion.

"I know so much stuff you don't. Wouldn't you love to know all of this information I know?"

This sort of thing from game journalists is really irritating and highly unprofessional. I'm sure the reason they can't release the information isn't on them, but the teasing is senseless.

Yup, launch day embargo is probably the answer. My guess is that MS don't want a situation where people who have preordered the system read reviews that say the Bone version of a given game is significantly worse than the PS4 one.

Anyway, these tweets are pointless if he's not actually going to say anything.

Come on, Arthur. Why take to twitter to stir up communities like GAF (you have to anticipate you'd get a thread out of this) and then trying to sweep your comments under the rug right after like they meant nothing?

With all the insiders who like to spill the beans on the workings of MS and Xbox One games at moment surely we can get someone to dish the deets....

This. I like Arthur but he does this cryptic shit all the time. I guess it's a way to stir up talk about him which he feeds off of.

Heh.. looking at their track record on PS3 exclusives, I wouldn't be surprised if they do it again next gen.

I wonder if Polygon will give to a next-gen game a score higher than 7,5 (The last of us).

I know it comes out a week later, which is the most logical choice.

But if I went out on a limb here, maybe it's because another thing with it is that we mostly see the 3rd party games being shown on either the PS4 or the PC, and not on the One. Maybe MS is feeling a little too unsure of themselves with stuff like that so they may have put some weird embargo on the games and in turn allowed Sony to step right now? I dunno, just a thought.
