Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | October 2013 | Ver 2000, Batman and some Angry Birds

I think LBP, PSABR, and Unit 13 ( maayyybe a racer instead) - there was another game i thought for sure would be in the IGC but i forget what it is atm.

Unit13 was already in the EU PS+ for July, but if I have to guess, LBP and PSABR are both very likely to get on PS+ as evergreens, because both are published by Sony. AC:L is also possible to get on Plus soon, with the HD release just around the corner. Altho, I really hope to see P4G at some point...

Edit, top page again. :)

For everyone who have not yet played Soul Sacrifice - GET IT, it's a killer game! Also Oddworld is really nice and funny game and at the moment is free for EU PS+, so make sure to grab it as well!

I'm very interested in picking up Soul Sacrifice, but there's one thing I'm worried about. I bought Monster Hunter for the Wii U and played it once. Never found the motivation to pop it back in. I'm just a little worried that the same will happen with Soul Sacrifice.

I didn't really understand the online aspects of MH on Wii U. Seemed complicated. Plus by the time I got it those I wanted to play with already put HOURS into that game. I really love gaming with others, so playing a Soul Sacrifice with Monosukoi would be a huge plus.

When I hear that they are similar, it makes me worried about downloading it.

Soul Sacrifice have a good story in the Single Player mode, plus a very addicting gameplay. Playing with randoms online is OK, but playing SS with friends and party chat is so awesome.

SS and MH belong to the same genre but:
-SS has a different gameplay(magic instead of weapons)
-SS has a (good)story

The story should give enough motivation, but everything depends if you like the genre.
Play the long and meaty SS demo and judge yourself.

There is a really big demo in PSN Store, so I'll advice you to try it. More then 1GB of download, it have the whole prologue to the single player story, additional 6-8 side quests with different difficulty levels and a nice selection of offerings (spells/weapons), sigils and items. You will get few hours of play with the demo alone. :) Hope you enjoy it!

So I'm a vita owner now. A fed questions.

What the difference between indies and minis? Do they all have trophies?

How do I delete a game but keep the save file?

Just play the demo, it has quite an elaborate one.
It'll probably take a while for the combat to click (the game explains almost nothing you need to figure it out yourself, or ask someone) but once it does it's rewarding to play.

I can't stand monster hunter but really enjoy soul sacrifice.

on topic: did quacamelee end up on ps+ then or not (EU), the tweet of the developer mentioned it ,but was it a mistake or not?

Indies are standard Vita games made by independent developers, they do have trophies. Minis are PSP based, and because of that, they don't.

As for the save files, I believe you can back them up to your PC via Content Manager. If you have PS+, just upload them directly to the cloud.

Lots of replies. This must be a popular game. As most of you just suggestion, I'll give the demo a try. If I like it, I'll purchase the game with the money I'll get from Somy in November.

o-oh my

you mentioned me in name

N-nothing special. You just happened to offer to game with me.

They are very different really as SS is fast paced, focus on pure action with a completely different combat system and no explorations, you go to an arena and kill monsters.

however I think you might want to wait for Delta.

just remember that the demo is the very beginning of the game.

Indies = native "indie" vita games, they have trophies
minis = psp "indie" games, no trophies
playstation mobile(psm) = ios-like games compatible with vita and psm compatible smartphones and tablets, no trophies(but it was promised their implementation...)

I don't remember how to keep your saves without ps+ lol! XD
If you have ps+ you can store in the cloud directly with the + icon on the top of the live area(the page that appears when you tap on a bubble) of the game or through the content manager.
I guess you need to use the content manager if you don't have ps+.

So I tried the WRC 4 demo for me to know if I should order it or not, I'm not 100% sure about this and someone else with the full game will be a better judge here but I think WRC 4 is actually WRC 3 with new modes (as they didn't change the physics, car models, no graphics improvements, reusing almost everything) it's really like playing WRC3 again.

but at least it seems like there is a Career mode this time.

Cool I have PS+ so cloud saving it is.

I have a 16gb card now but if I ever upgrade to a 32 it's nice to know there's an easy way to store saves!

Sony should allow non PS+ people to backup saves data only to PS3 or PC (instead of forcing them to copy the whole game) I know they want to sell PS+ but this is really a bad thing to do to people who bought the system and have no interest in PS+.

Everyone should have interest in PS+. :P

But yes, the saves shouldn't really be tied to the bubbles. It's a pain in the ass.

I want to buy it, I skipped 3... from the demo this seemed a little bit sharper and shinier from the brief time I saw WRC3, but I could easily be wrong about that.
But the framerate drops...I just thought I wasn't putting up with it as soon as I saw a bunch of drops. It was basically in a time trial mode and the game doesn't seem like it should be so demanding yet I still have to put up with frame drops in a rally game?

Did you get the drops? I think I deleted the demo after that..yep, guess I needed the space...mwhaha not for long, hopefully

Cyborg -- is your save file fixed? I'd love to work on closing out Soul Sacrifice.

No. I'm hopefully by Tuesday I'll be complaining and tweeting until before Tuesday.

Old pic but I'm well over 100-120 hours

Sony should not waste time catering to crazy people.

Oh man, can I get in on this SS train? I always wanted to play with VitaGAF, but by the time I was confirmed, the love seemed to have died down a bit.

I'm mid-20s Magic level and I believe 12 Life level, so I'm still relatively early on, but I'd love to play it with some of you guys and gals sometime.

That goes for Killzone as well, but I know how that is.

i was waiting til SS hit ps+ but then delta was announced.

not gonna make the same mistake twice, gonna pick up SSD day one.

I can't get into MH either but I love SS. They are similar in genre only, SS plays much better IMO. Try the demo out, it's a very extensive demo.

Left my Vita off for a few days, come back to turn it on and it's crashed on my three times so far. :/

Seems to be fine now, but I've only ever had my Vita crash on me once before and that was a looooong time ago.

EDIT: Trying to install Destiny of Spirits has crashed it 2/3 times. I don't know what's going on with it.

Yes, there is framerate drops (it's weird because it's rally with empty tracks) but it is a demo so maybe it got fixed in the final version.

Looks like they pulled a page out of EA's book

but there is a career mode so at least they did put new stuff so it's not just a reskin, still better than EA FIFA port job.

Thanks Massa. Looks like a great game but it is $5.99 on PSN now. :(

Any other PSM idea? There seems to be quite a nice bunch of games there. But I never bought anything after I wasted $8.00 on the Chaos Rings mess.

Sorry about that, I think it was $3 when I bought it. :(

You can check out these PSM recommendations from psnstores with videos and reviews in some cases. Oh, and check out Picbox for sure, it has a free demo and it's a very addicting puzzle game.

Buy Aqua Kitty ($3,49), fun shooter inspired by Defender

I got that for free when they had that PlayStation Mobile promotion and it is pretty fun. Can get REALLY fucking hectic at parts.

Does anyone here happen to have Ridge Racer? All I need is someone with the game to add me to their friends list and do a quick race with me so I can get a trophy. I'm that close to getting the platinum for it lol. So, if anyone has it, let me know a good time so we can do this.

^ I know that feeling

Any reviews up for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes? Console version looks a tad amazing, this looks neat but yeah.

I fucking love my Vita.

I know that feeling. But Kirino says it best..

Nice link! Thanks. Will check all these out and get something tomorrow for sure. I'm putting my $10 credit away for Tearaway. I can't wait for that game.

Wow, is she really saying I love you to the vita? Let's have some context here.
