Super Smash Bros Wii U and 3DS Thread 3: Ridley's Believe It or Not!

I hope the platform itself goes for a ruined Aztech look, the background while I know will start in the darkness, I hope opens up into a forest or more interesting locals than just a ocean.
 
I'll go with Final Destination taking another "warping through dimensions" approach. I'm hoping throughout various game series' rather than generic places or just having colour explosions.

Not that it matters, the only stage we really need is HD 25m and this time they better add the koopas/crabs from Mario Bros and also have it scrolling. Maybe add a slippery ice effect to the platforms just for funsies.
 
Final destination will be set against the grey dotted white background sported on the 3DLand/World box art.

After Nintendo releasing it's financial report today, anyone change their mind on when they think smash will release? I always thought it would be spring/summer next year and I still stand by that. Here is a quote from the report on how they plan an moving forward -
"we attempt to concentrate on proactively releasing key first-party titles towards the coming year in order to regain momentum for the platform."

Their heavy hitters for early next year are Donkey Kong and Mario Kart 8. If they don't put out Smash during the holiday, they have NOTHING.

I'm pretty sure they said the same thing when they released their Q1 results... and then they delayed Donkey Kong. lol

Ah Anthony always ever present, you forget that Nintendo is a finnicky bunch, like a lion waiting for the kill, you expect nothing, but Nintendo he says NO.

Then we have Yarn Yoshi, Bayonetta 2, X and whatever the case with SMT x Fire emblem non? Theres still a smell a mystery in the air.

Well, if they manage 1080p at 60FPS then that would be pushing the Wii U quite a bit I think.

Also, we have yet to see if Wii U and 3DS will share the same gameplay modes. I imagine the Wii U version will have more content...

I imagine both will have a lot of content.

Kid Icarus 3DS was filled to the brim of content, so I don't think Sakurai will gimp it at all.

I imagine it'll be 60fps on Wii U, not sure about 1080p though.

Co-op is fun, but I am not really a fan of versus), regardless of the genre and the Super Smash Bros series isn't an exception. I'd say the "heart and the soul of the past three games" is very subjective and personal. Yeah, I agree with this. I'm only the gamer in my house other than my brother who hardly plays, so losing out on one-screen local play won't bother me.

Honestly, I only want Smash 3DS so I can whip it out, have some online Brawls, and close it. I won't sit there for hours on end playing it.
 
Smash wiiu for when friends come over, smash 3ds for when I meet people randomly. Will probably get smash 3ds digital so I always have access to it ala animal crossing

SM3DW wasn't announced until JUNE of this year. Same for DK:TF, which was SUPPOSED to be december, but got pushed back. That leaves potential for anything to happen next holiday season. They could have the next Zelda for all we know. Just because Skyward Sword took 5 years doesn't mean the next one will too. It's not unprecedented for a zelda game to come out in 3 years (MM > WW)

I felt sorry for you that you decided to come here and acting like you are the victim here because you got banned from SmashGAF IRC. I can't believe that you actually believed that we banned you for being false prophet when we already specifically told you that your ban was for something else. I was once kicked for simply saying my interest in Smash isn't in the physics and balancing so I don't have any need to analyse any small bits of footage we get for those things.

What? This never happened... like, ever. Are you sure this wasn't in another chat? You were only in SmashGAF IRC a very few times and you were never once kicked from any of those times.

And I doubt anyone in their right mind would kick you for such reasons. The only ops are IntelliHeath and me.
